If I Buy This Bundle, Should I Install It, or Not?
Since you're asking for our opinions: buy the bundle if you want the other games, but don't activate Tekken 7 if you think that playing or owning it is wrong. You don't really need to give it away or even reveal the key, just leave it there and forget about it.

That's where I'm at right now. Bought it and sitting on the Tekken 7 key.
Whitelisted you.

The bundle has a LOT of great games so I highly recommend getting it at least since you mentioned your interest in those other titles. I bought the Tekken 7 Deluxe edition for like 11 bucks at some point off on a different location. Come's with all the DLC's (Season passes) so you could always do that, and just give away the base game version to someone who doesn't care about the DLC's. I agree though. DLC's are getting crazy... Especially with fighter games. It's like what? Over 1,000 dollars for the DOA DLC's usually? It's crazy. XD

Just buy the darn bundle and quit worrying of what others people think of you grow some balls and quit acting like a pussy. smh

Lol, I already did. Thank you and everyone else for the input.
I added you all to my whitelist.

People change but so does context. Its not the same price or context from back then is it? Neither the games age, price nor your nostalgia. Theres a reason many reviewers use a 'buy, skip, wait for sale' rating... it wasnt a buy for you on those conditions but deep sale everything changes...
And the older a title gets the more i vouch for go for it. Publishers remove titles from steam - and i have quite a list of games ive missed and can never own in my library now. Tekken is unlikely to be removed, but say they release a remake with all dlc but gameplay changes or bad performance... when publishers do things like that the old version is delisted, non-purchasable, and newcomers are left with the pricier version regardless of the build condition.
Not that its necessary but all the above are factual and solid arguments- maybe it will lift some of the weight you feel

I've read that you already bought, but still, my two cents:
I'm a Tales of fan. It's probably my favorite rpg saga. I'm slowly going through all translated games, be it fantranslantions or official. I play them with my best friend, and he is player one.
Tales of Vesperia is such a complicated feeling for me. I think we went into it overhyped, which was part lf the problem. And we probably would have loved it as teens! But after reading so much about how Yuri was the best Talws of protagonist, blahblah, we... Kinda hated him? It was frustrating, since the game was always close to "becoming good" in our eyes.
Still! It had extremely good moments, Karoru Kaperu (seriously, Karol carried the whole game in his bag for us), and a lot of fun stuff. Patty is a delight, Flynn was wonderfully made and skits were a lotta fun, as always. A lot of parts deserved better, I wish the characters hadn't gotten stuck so soon.
So, after all this, would I recommend it for ten bucks? Hell yes. Most people adore Yuri anyway, so I doubt you'll feel our main gripe.
And that's one game in the bundle. You don't even need to redeem them all! You can just redeem them as you'll play them, and if you feel like you don't want them anymore, trade them or give them away.
Past you shouldn't decide what present you wants. Future you can decide you are wrong as well. You should try to make present you happy.

You paid for the game. Time changes perspectives and priorities. We live surrounded by our own incoherences. In the end, the decision is yours, you already have all the arguments pro and con for this. You might appreciate more points of view but you're the one behind the wheel.

Yes, maybe, but who cares. It's your money.
The DLC policy is garbage and a cash-grab, but if you enjoyed the game or the character, go ahead and buy it if you want.
Your views are allowed to change.
I wouldn't buy the DLC unless they were on sale, though.
Since you already bought the bundle, activate and enjoy with a clear conscience :)

I am not a fan of this pay to unlock the full game (e.g. pay for characters) either however with this bundle and the circumstances that you have been placed in I would say it would be wiser to redeem the game rather than sell it. An bundle or offer like this, I don't believe will occur again in a long while.

At the end of the day, you're allowed to have an opinion and you're also allowed to back down. The world isn't that black and white, there are lots of shades in between. Some people will have a hard stance on something, others will have a softer view and be open to changing their minds. How boring and maybe even stressful would it be if we couldn't change our minds about something?
You can put an edit at the end of your review and say you got it in a Humble Bundle for basically nothing with other games you wanted, and now you might consider buying the character you enjoy. But if they hadn't tried to fleece you for extras back then, you'd have gladly paid full price.

you should buy it and keep the game. you can have or want to have something you have strong and negative opinions about it. i agree with the dlc thing its ridiculous honestly but just because theyre doing smt stupid that doesnt mean we cant play the game, as long as it doesnt hurt anyone you can still protest but keep doin it.
kinda like the way we as humans buy things capitalism presents us but still knowing that its bad/not worth it. you gotta enjoy life sometimes even if it doesnt look alright.

I didn't went through all the replies here including yours, but it seems you bought the bundle and haven't decided what to do with Tekken 7 key. My suggestion is - redeem it and get the DLC for your beloved character through Steam. The base game itself is on sale but the DLC isn't. Still, I believe you must have paid less money for Tekken 7 than your previous purchase, considering the proportion of the total money you paid to HB. Then you would be paying less money for the base game anyway, and getting 1 DLC which is less than $4 shouldn't be a big expenditure. If you can meet the character in your old memories, for a few additional dollars, I bet you'd be willing to do so.

Awhile back, I bought Tekken 7 while it was cheap, but my main, since the days of Tekken 2, has always been Lei Wu Long. He's a DLC character and costs extra money. I refunded it and I wrote this review which got some awards on the store page...

Well now, Bandai Namco has a pretty decent bundle that includes Tekken 7. I'm mainly buying it because I've always wanted to try one of the Tales of games, I've always wanted to try one of the God Eater games, and Code Vein is, or was at one point, also a wishlisted game.
My question is, if I buy this bundle, would redeeming Tekken 7, and/or actually considering paying the money for Lei Wu Long, make me a hypocrite? Should I still buy the bundle but give Tekken 7 away? Or should I not even buy the bundle at all? I still feel that fighting games need to stop the nickel and diming with all the DLC characters but is this a different situation? Or am I still supporting what I wrote so passionately against in the review?
Here's the obligatory GA --- LVL 3+, and thanks for taking the time to read this, and hopefully, for your input.
