Is it me or are all these "Indie Bundles" starting to fizzle out?

Update: Here are HIB figures from day one and as suggested it looks like I'm not alone here. There is a pretty steep decline in revenue with the last two bundles. We'll just have to see how Humble Botanicula Debut does........

HIB- 1.27

HIB 2- 1.8

Frozenbyte- 0.9

HIB 3- 2.16

Frozen Synapse- 1.11

Voxatron- 0.9

Introversion- 0.77

HIB 4- 2.37

Android 1- 0.93

Mojam- 0.45

Android 2- 0.68

Well if you are comparing them to the earlier Humble Bundles then yes. But anyway you look at it you get a good deal

Well the new Humble Bundle sucks. Bemine 2 is pretty good. I hope that the next Humble Bundles will be better.

Here's what I think, they added the 5 bucks minimum to try and destroy the black market there is around HiB's. people could buy them for 1 buck, wait a while and resell them for 3-5 bucks on ST, sometimes more. with this policy it becomes unprofitable for the "black marketeers" (hope i said that right) to buy massive amounts of bundles for a dollar.

That being said I still disagree with the 5 bucks minimal for keys, the secret to undermine a forign competitor is not to jack up the price of their product by jacking the price of your own, it is to provide the customer with a better product than your competitor has.

My suggestion is they go back to the 1 dollar minimum, maybe even 2 if they want to, and allow for a second beat the average bonus : a game from the previous bundle. Also, put all the games, even the BTA ones on one key so you cannot trade the separately, with that they would literraly steal the consumers from the black market, by allowing them to get the games they missed on steam in another bundle, together with the new bundle itself, people like myself who missed HiB 1, voxatron, Frozenbyte or whatever would no longer need to trade for our bundles, we could simply wait for the next HiB and get the ones we want the most then.

But of course that is just my opinion :)

the $5 for steam key is because the main game is brand spanking new, and HiB don't want to devaluate the game too quickly.

Why??? They put new game in bundle? It's senseless.
I bought all bundles (except missed first HiB) even FaceKick, but last HiB i'll pass. I don't need bundle with 1 new game and $5 bucks minimum. (Yeah, in other bundles i usually paid $5-$10, but Botanicula debut... no)

I feel sorry for you that you get "only" 1 new release for ONLY 5 dollars and that you own the 2 other games already. It's too bad for you, but everyone do not own those games.

Personally, I own Machinarium and Samorost 2 already but am still going to buy the bundle (including steam keys).

They already added Samorost and Machinarium in previous Bundles (In Voxatron Alpha also was only 1 game and Gish from previous bundles, but there was not minimum price in $5).
As i told before - i bought many bundles (Royale, FaceKick, Gala) to support indie devs and cause most of bundles take part in charity, but this one i'll pass.

Don't like em, don't buy em. Kind of sick of hearing people complain that quality is going down, like HumbleBundle or IndieRoyale are gonna turn round and say "oh wow, sorry, didn't think you'd notice, here's the good games we've been hiding". The word "entitled" is getting thrown around too much to mean much today, especially with gamers, but here's a case I think it applies.

I don't feel entitled to anything I'm simple saying that I'm been passing a few of them up lately.

So the developer released a brand new game in a bundle. A game that you could buy for one cent which will also include two other games as a bonus. Plus soundtracks. For one cent. How that greedy bastard dares to do that? I want my Bethesda bundle with Skyrim and I want it now. Might pay even a full dollar for it. Maybe.

It is a debut bundle, people. I cannot understand why people try to compare it to other bundles. Yes, it shares the name but the content and the target is different. You can buy a brand new game with 99.9 % discount (with one cent payment) that will include bonus material and yet people are not happy and call organizers greedy. Sheesh.

Game price tag is 9,99$. Humble price for Steam key is 5$. That's a 50% discount + 2 extra games.

[To avoid confudion, not targeting OP with this rant]

I haven't been around very long (joined after HIB 4), but if I believe this forum, every single bundle that came out after I joined was seriously disappointing, the worst bundle ever, an affront to the fans, stupidly priced, and a total ripoff. At the same time, they were the best bundle ever, a real good deal and finally something good.
With over a 100000 members, it's no surprise that there are different opinions about these bundles, but I find it amazing how much vitriol, spite and hatred some people have for those bundles. If it's not appealing to you, is that really a good reason to make such a fuss about it ? If you have some/most/all of the games already, does that make the bundle itself bad ? If you don't like the pricing structure, does that really make the people who make the bundle idiots for not consulting you first ? The sense of entitlement some people exhibit is astounding.

I guess some people are being let down by their own expectations and they feel like it's a loss to them when it's not what they maybe wanted it to be, or that it contains games that have been in earlier bundles/they already own. The humble -team got every right to increase the prices, but you can still buy the deal for 0.01$ as DRM-free. Whatever anyone said, 5 dollars on steam keys for those 3 excellent games is a low price. It's low even considering the new release "Botanicula" alone. It's too bad if you own 1 or 2 of the games already, still there are much more people who don't own those games and to who this is a great bundle. You can always send your feedback to the team, but moaning here how it's not for you is not the way to go with this.

I haven't liked the last 3 bundles for the indie bundles because the last 2 were repeats but on android and this one has yet another repeat plus two unheard of games that just don't interest me enough to pay the now mandatory $5 for steam keys.

Two repeats, a WTF game, a brand new game, and a movie (which has disappointingly low video and audio quality.)
