This is just me being curious since I don't yet meet the requirements but is there any way to tell which of the recent giveaways that got at least 12 entries were QGG exclusive?
Comment has been collapsed.
Not being in the group myself, I would assume, as a first order estimate, that all giveaways that are shared between multiple groups include whitelists.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah but that's only for the ones with whitelists. The ones without are harder to tell manually unless you belong to one of the shared groups that giveaway is in.
Comment has been collapsed.
My guess would be that most people include their whitelist when they do multi group giveaways.
But maybe Mdk25 has a better way.
Comment has been collapsed.
When I joined the group, I looked thru the giveaway posting and ignored the ones with the whitelist (https://www.steamgifts.com/group/6HSPr/qgg-group). Unfortunately, you won't be able to click on the giveaway to see if it's shared with other groups. I resorted to the wishlist search and picked a game that had 20+ wishlisted: https://www.steamgifts.com/group/6HSPr/qgg-group/wishlist .... oh and mdk25 also updates the list on the top of this thread: Here are some giveaways that got 12+ entries in our group in the last month (you can see the top 10 from previous months here)
Good luck!

I feel stupid now that I realize I never noticed the whitelist option in the group giveaways... Thanks.

As BanjoBearLV mentioned - the easiest way is to see the list on the top of this post (or top 10 list from previous months).
A harder way would be to use the SGMT tool, to check entries for any specific game. As it will only show you entries from QGG group members.
But that would be limited to 1 game at a time.
You can see the instructions under "How to check how many entries a game received when it was given away in QGG".

Hey MrTrk,
Here are the instructions for joining the group:

Tormented Souls sounds good.
Group invite sent.
As recruitment is not open yet, please wait until November 1st before creating your first giveaway.
Please don't forget that you cannot enter any group GAs (at all) until your first GA ends and is marked as received.

Hey MrTrk,
You messages me on Steam, but then unfriended me before I had a chance to respond.
So I'll respond here instead.
This is what you wrote:
i wasn't -$50 and i toughed i have time end of the month
and probably my new created giveaways will fix that
but I think I misunderstood
I'm sorry you have to deal with a fool like me so much.
thnx for everything
This is the first time I've been in such a full rules place.
I believe you're misremembering a bit.
At the end of December you were already at -$100 group ratio. At which point I reminded you of group rules requiring your group ratio to always be positive, and asked you to stop entering giveaways and create giveaways to offset your negative ratio. To which you agreed.
A week later I noticed you still had a -$100 group ratio, you did not create enough giveaways to offset your negative ratio, and again you were entering group giveaways. Again I reminded you that you're not allowed to enter group giveaways until you fix your ratio. And you apologized, claimed your brother was playing games on your computer (which doesn't explain the SteamGifts entries to giveaways) and promised to fix it.
A week later, I noticed you have created some giveaways to offset your ratio, but not enough. And again were entering group giveaways.
At which point you were kicked from the group, and permanently banned from entering it ever again.
Case and point: Your current group ratio is -$76.97
And even though you know you've been kicked from the group, you still continue to enter group giveaways, I'm not sure why, as I've notified group members of your ban, and if you win any giveaway, the gifter will simply ask for a re-roll.
I would like to remind you of 2 pieces of advice written on the top of this post, which you should have read before joining the group:
A word of advice: This is not one of those groups where nobody really checks what you do, so you can do whatever and nobody will care. This group is more similar to "Actually Playing Games" or "Playing Appreciated" where there are strict rules, and everyone needs to follow them to the T. If you're more a free spirit, who just wants to give some games and win some games, and not to think about it too much - this is not the group for you!
A word of advice #2: If you're thinking of joining the group, and entering as many giveaways as possible until you're kicked from the group - please don't!
Many have tried. All have failed. Our group management tool allows me to see exactly which GAs each member joins, and as soon as I detect new members trying this, this person is kicked from the group and blacklisted by all members.

Not really asking to join as I don't really like to commit to the monthly thing yet, but would I be eligible otherwise?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hello! I'd like to join.
I'm planning on Journey To The Savage Planet as my first GA.
Comment has been collapsed.
Actually, what about the shared GAs that I had already entered before that are part of this group?
Do I need to remove myself from them?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey,
Unfortunately there is no way for me to know your group ratio until you return.
It's going to be the ratio you had when you left the group.
However, as part of group rules - you will need to fix the ratio.
Also, please let me know what you plan to give away as your "new member first giveaway"?
Comment has been collapsed.
well there's a chance my ratio is fine, ain't it? I think I left because I was having some issues and could not produce monthly giveaway as per group rules.
New Member First Giveaway - I did not make my mind yet but considered Horizon Zero Dawn (complete) or Saints Row (gold)?

well there's a chance my ratio is fine, ain't it?
Definitely!
As I said - I have no idea what your current ratio is...
New Member First Giveaway - I did not make my mind yet but considered Horizon Zero Dawn (complete) or Saints Row (gold)?
Horizon Zero Dawn is definitely a good option.
I'm not sure about Saint Row Gold, as it was never given away in the group - so there's no way of knowing :(
I sent you a group invite.
As a returning user, the rules are somewhat simpler.
I'm reminding you that the "Joining GA" needs to be created within 48 hours of re-joining, and that it needs to lats at least 7 days.

Thank you for invites, I have joined both groups just in case I have something that does not qualify for GCQ but may qualify for companion group.
I had a look on Steam and turns out newest Saints Row game has mixed reviews +1000 reviews with 65% rating - shame, if I had to personally choose which game to play I'd likely go with Saints Rown despite bad feedback it received upon its release.
I have one additional question, if I may:
I will create new member giveaway lasting 7 days or more but apart from that giveaway, is there any limit to how long (at least) regular giveaways have to be?

Hey Shurraxxo,
"BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend" only got 2 entries last time it was given away in the group, therefore it would not be a good choice for your "new member first giveaway".
You can see examples of games that got 12+ entries last month, on the top of this thread/post.

Hey Shurraxxo,
The monthly giveaway needs at least 1 entry, to be considered valid.
Other than that, there is the "new member first giveaway", for which you can see full rules at the top of this post.
Full group rules can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/QGG-Group/discussions/0/1694919808756635525/
I suggest you give them a read (if you haven't already).

"Death end re;Quest" does not match the requirements from a "new member first giveaway".
Reminder:
NEW MEMBERS FIRST GIVEAWAY
Please read these rules carefully, and only apply if you're sure you can follow them.
• New members need to create a giveaway in 48h upon receiving an invite to the group
• New members first giveaway must be a QGG group-exclusive giveaway
• New members first giveaway must last at least 7 days
• New members CANNOT enter any group giveaways until their first giveaway is finished. (Finished = marked as received by the winner)
• New members first giveaway must have at least 12 entries when it's finished. Begging for entries is forbidden. To check how many entries individual games received in QGG giveaways - see insturctions at the bottom.
• New members first giveaway counts as the monthly giveaway of the month he joined
• New members first giveaway cannot be region locked
• New members first giveaway must have at least 10P value, and one of the following:
- 10,000+ reviews on Steam and 70%+ Steam rating
- 1,000+ reviews on Steam and 80%+ Steam rating
- 100+ reviews on Steam and 90%+ Steam rating

Shurraxxo, I would suggest using this tool
http://www.sgmt.name:8080/SGMT/CheckGameGiveawaysUI
to see if the games you're thinking doing the GA with were given away in group before and if they did how many entries it got.
Or what you can do is open the group's wishlist and pick a game that a decent number of users have wishlisted and go with that.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey Shurraxxo,
If you need specific examples, you can find them at the post at the top of this thread (you also have a link for "monthly top 10" so you can check which giveaways were popular in previous months).
If you want to check how many giveaways a specific game got last time it was given away, you have instructions for that too, in the post at the top.
How to check how many entries a game received when it was given away in QGG:
- Go to http://www.sgmt.name:8080/SGMT/CheckGameGiveawaysUI
- Under “Group” choose from a dropdown: “Quality Games Giveaways”
- Under “Name of the Game” write the full or partial name of a game
- Optional: You can add “Start Date” if you only want to see GAs from last 3 months for example.
- Click on “Get Giveaways Data” at the bottom

Hey Ygritte07,
Unfortunately "Overcooked! 2" would not be a good game for your "new member first giveaway", as it only got 2 entries in the group last time it was given away.
You can see examples of games that got 12+ entries last month, on the top of this thread/post.

Hey Ygritte07,
I think you're doing everything right.
It seems that Dorfromantik was never given away in the group.
It's wishlisted by 19 members - so it seems like a good choice.
I'm sending you a friend request on Steam - let me know when you accept.

Resident Evil Village is a good choice.

I'd love to join and have a backlog of humble bundles with titles I'll never play. I'll be sure to keep within the quality rules for ratings percentage and counts.
For the 1st game I can do "Dave the Diver"

Hey gregzielinski,
Dave the Diver sounds good for a first giveaway.

hey, for now I have thought about Will You Snail? but I'm not sure if it will get 12 entries(5 people have it on wishlist in the group)... Or if it's high enough quality for first giveaway. Can also do DJMAX RESPECT V, Good Company(74% of 1334 users).
If no, no worries not in a rush to join(as I would also join giveaways I would really want to play) and will just think meanwhile about what else to giveaway.
Also what does this mean? (is it just about "SKIPPING A MONTH" that even when you have cake day you can't join if you are skipping?)
• It's forbidden to enter giveaways during your "cake day month", while being on a "skip a month" streak.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey akfas,
DJMAX RESPECT V is not a good choice, as it only got 6 entries last time it was given away.
I suspect "Will You Snail" can get similar results :(
So you would need to find a different game as your "new member first giveaway".
I must say, I really like your question! because it shows you read our group rules :)
Sometimes people have different situations in their work or personal life, which require them to disconnect from SteamGifts for days, weeks or even month. In QGG we realize that, so we created a "SKIP A MONTH" mechanism, which allows people to disconnect for long periods of time (up to 6 months at a time), and not worry about creating monthly giveaways or being kicked from the group.
Unrelated, every group member in QGG, is exempted from creating a monthly giveaway on the month of his/her cakeday. Which means the person can enter any giveaways he/she desires, and is not required to create any giveaways if they so choose.
What we are not allowing, is combining these 2 mechanisms.
Meaning: You can't be skipping the month of October (for example), and then returning on November, which is your cakeday month, to entering giveaways without creating any. That would be abuse.
If you are taking a break from the group, and the month you return to the group happens to be your "cakeday" month - you will not participate in the exemption for people celebrating cakeday.
Sounds confusing, right?
To make it easier - you don't need to actually remember any of that.
Every month I post the list of people exempt from monthly giveaways because they have a cakeday that month.
This list doesn't include anyone who is not active in the group (even if they are members).
So if you see yourself on the list - you don't need to create a monthly giveaway (if you don't want to).
Otherwise - you do need to (create a monthly)

Hey, I thought about it more and came to conclusion.
Best option right now is Far Cry® 5 or Watch Dogs: Legion, maybe Watch_Dogs 2
oh, could also do Dead Cells (28 wishlisted ) or Death's Door (31), Wreckfest(29) but maybe that's for next month etc. :)

Hello M7MXD,
As mentioned, there are few general rules of QGG you currently do not pass:
• At least Level 3 on SteamGifts
• If you're new to SteamGifts, you need to be a member for at least 3 months, and be a member of at least one other closed group (a group where you need approval to join).
So as you see:
The reason for these requirements is not to limit group membership, or to keep it exclusive.
The QGG group is what you would call an "advanced" group in SteamGifts.
We have many many (MANY) rules. And all need to be followed.
So we're trying to make sure that every person joining the group, understands rules, and understands following rules.
Just a few weeks ago, we had a new member who thought he could follow the rules he liked, and ignore (or "not understand" ) rules he didn't like. It did not go well for him :(
So we're trying to make sure only appropriate people join the group.
If you truly are someone who will fit well in our group - you should have no problem adhering to all group requirements in order to join.
I would like to leave you with some words of advice, written at the bottom of the recruitment post:
A word of advice: This is not one of those groups where nobody really checks what you do, so you can do whatever and nobody will care. This group is more similar to "Actually Playing Games" or "Playing Appreciated" where there are strict rules, and everyone needs to follow them to the T. If you're more a free spirit, who just wants to give some games and win some games, and not to think about it too much - this is not the group for you!
A word of advice #2: If you're thinking of joining the group, and entering as many giveaways as possible until you're kicked from the group - please don't!

UL7 is not a "closed group" for the purpose of Mdk25's argument.
For an unlucky member (less than 8 wins), there are just Steamgifts' rules to follow, no special group rules.

Our group name is also a statement of purpose. We strive to create an environment where all our members can have access to Quality Game Giveaways and a proper chance to win them.
It is a simple aim, or at least, it should be. Since the conception of the group, roughly 6 years have passed and time has shown us that while a goal might appear simple and direct, it will still require a proper structure for it to work. This means that our group rules came into shape after countless revisions and discussions, and while there is always room for flexibility and change, the most important thing is that they are there for good reason: to make things as fair as possible for everyone and ensure that only those who want the same things stay in the same group.
So if you....
...like to give back and enjoy quality games giveaways, this is the group for you.
...like for your games to be played and play the games you win, this can be the group for you.
Here are some giveaways that got 12+ entries in our group in the last month (you can see the top 10 from previous months here)
