And asset flip is what people have come to call games that just use store-bought game assets, slap them together using an easy to use engine (of course using the pre-set settings) and release it. There have been a lot of these as of late, most of them still confined to greenlight, but some have somehow made it through to the main store page.

No, Unturned seem to be a legitimately game, Uncrowded though....

More the likes of Temper Tantrum, and the average Unity-built horror game, and this gem that since was pulled from the store a few weeks after release.

I think "asset flip" has become the established term for it. Stepping away from that term would probably result in a far less eyecatching headline. "Top 10 games that uses pre-made assets in a sloppy way" does not have the same punch to it (in particularly not the "pre-made" bit).

You would have to reserve a "turkey position" for Rise of the Robots if you were to make a list like that. RotR might not have been the worst robot-themed game of all time, but it sure was one that got a lot of attention back when it was first released.
For people who don't remember the game, Rise of the Robots was a game that was going to be the next big thing in the fighting game world. It had really impressive graphics (for 1993-1994, that is), and they hyped the intelligence of the opponents, talking about how they would learn from how you played and adapt to counter your playstyle. But of course, most of the hype was due to the amazing graphics (people who claim that games are all about graphics these days and how gameplay came first back in the "olden days" clearly don't remember the "olden days" very well). The game was released for almost every system imaginable, 3DO, SNES, PC, Amiga, Mega Drive, and several more. You name it, it was probably released on it. And it was terrible. Everyone hated it.

i think i played that game long time ago on the Snes was locked away from my mind but u made it somehow return the gfx were impressive indeed just like the first time i played Killer Instinct on the Snes or Mario 64 on the N64 but yeah the game itself was really bad ;)

Ah yes. One of the bigger fails of gaming history.
The AI was a lie, as getting through the game meant learning which single attack to spam against which opponent with no variation.
The controls were rubbish (even considering that it was designed for a single-button stick, it was slow, clunky and unresponsive)
And who the $#@% does not have a character selection for player 1 (but does have it for player 2) in a 1-on-1 fighting game, in 1994 ?
3 years after Street Fighter II showed the world how it's done, this comes along, goes back to all the mistakes of the first Street Fighter and rephttp://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/xeJy5/gaming-top-tens/search?page=2eats them in a more spectacular way.
It's sequel also wasn't very good, but at least it wasn't as completely broken by design.

And the characters were not balanced at all, so in a 2-player vs game, the second player would have a huge advantage, unless one of the first 2 or 3 robots were picked. The last two robots were just flat out better than the main character in every single way. And this was also how the difficulty curve was handled in-game, rather than making the AI better, they just made the robot fighters stronger.
I did not know that they made a part 2. After part 1, I would have expected them to just drop it altogether, as the name alone would have scared people away.

There's a reason why the 2nd one is called Rise 2: Resurrection I guess. This is one of the better gameplay clips I can find. It's from the PS1 - PC version did have higher resolution graphics I believe, but this one gives a better impression of how the game really played
