Here, 1. Accidentally didn't notice I'd won something for a while and didn't activate.

In school, 1. Accidentally didn't get permission in 8th grade to do a research paper and presentation on the history of toilet paper with numerous props. Got sent to the vice principal, who asked why I was there. I told him I did a term paper on toilet paper. His eyebrow raised. I think he thought I printed an essay on reams of toilet paper.

Same topic in 11th grade got an A though.

Here, 0 times. Twice on Paradoxplaza though, because the mods are Nazis that will suspend you for a month if you so much as look at them funny.

No but really. It is literally a bannable offense to argue with a mod(or be perceived to). Tbh, just makes me really thankful for and appreciative of SG support/mods for dealing with all our shit when they could just as easily just suspend us too.

Twice, and I regret them because I was childish. I got mad at an user who blacklisted me right after I won their giveaway because I wanted to leave a comment thanking him. So I got a friend to ask him why and if he could unblacklist me for a little while so I could leave the comment. He responded that it was because I never made public giveaways (the hypocritical asshole had 90% of his giveaways as region restricted). So this is where I should have stopped, or gotten my friend to write the thanks in the giveaway for me, but I was pissed, so I marked the giveaway as not received and told him it would stay that way until he gave me an explanation. I was suspended for inappropriate behavior for 2 days for threatening an user with giveaway feedback. I know what I did was wrong, but I also think I was unfairly suspended, because it was still within the 7-day period, and technically you can mark / unmark a game as received all you want during that period. So I think support should only have suspended me if 7 days had passed and I had kept it as not received.

When I came back from suspension I was extremely pissed and continued to act childish, by stalking him into a giveaway he had commented on and spamming the holy hell out of him. So I was suspended again for inappropriate behavior, this time for 7 days, and I was told that a third suspension for the same reason could potentially get me permabanned, so I just dropped it.

I find it odd that such a small offense could potentially get you permabanned with a 3-strike system though. It would make more sense for the suspension time to keep going up when it comes to stuff like this.

talking about suspension, is there a list or something in the forum that shows users that get suspended over time?

Once, also for calling out, by saying they had unactivated wins and had regifted which I didn't realize was considered "calling out" and therefore a violation of the rules.

Once. Because a gifter was a ****, who gave away a promotional game for another region.

Twice. Because of my own stupidity. Once GA creator gave me wrong key, but I decided it was Ok and accepted that. Second was when I won several games at once and just forgot to activate one of them. Well, I fixed both sins.

once, for "begging", although i guess they didnt get that the "lol" at the end denoted that it was clearly a jest. which ended up getting me removed from a group, blessing in disguise, no need to be around pretend friends who would remove you without even knowing what happened

All the time on maplestory because I like to break the game's core. I guess that's why I chose to be a software engineer.

Once. A few years back I won a giveaway and the game was for something region-locked. So I used the key and the game was put into my Steam inventory. I was later suspended for not having the game "active" in my library.

This was before SG had better controls for region-locked games.

i'm not that much into internet discussion stuff anymore. if someone behaves like a bitch i sooner or later (mostly sooner) call him a bitch. i just can't help it. and why not? if it's the truth why not say it loud? turns out you're not allowed to tell the truth because we don't want to make anyone feel offended, right? and what about me? maybe i feel offended too because he acted like a bitch? it's just like politics. bah!

Came close once when I first started here, right around the time Metro 2033 was being given away by everyone under the sun. I necro'd a couple of threads with a stupid meme about it, and got warned that I'd be banned if I kept at it. I was dumb, and hadn't fully grasped forum etiquette yet :P

Once, for 24 hours. I don't know why though, there was a warning about scripts and plugins and stuff. But I only use Steamgifts++ and nothing else. I was so sad. :(
