Was debating what to get with the last of my wallet funds on the last day of the sale and ultimately settled on Cities: Skylines. Seems like I made the right choice.

I'm wondering if "any Paradox product" includes DLCs. It seems a bit cheeky but I've requested compensation even though I only bought Stellaris: Utopia - which, while it did see a price increase, it was only by £1. Still, I suppose it's the principle.

So, do i understand this correctly?
Even if i bought an older Paradox game (for instance the first Hearts of Iron) i still get 2 dlc or 1 base game?
or does this just count for "newer" Paradox games?
Because i bought the first Hearts of Iron on the GoG Summer Sale.
Does this still count?

I have no idea how this actually works, but I bought Pillars of Eternity - The White March Expansion Pass from the sale with euro's and I don't think there was any effect of the pricing change, but I thought I'll fill in the form and check what they say. Doesn't hurt to try.

It seems it's for every game:
"Instead, we will gift everyone who purchased any Paradox product between May 17 and today (including pre-orders of Steel Division: Normandy 44 made before May 17), in any currency except USD (where prices were not changed), a free copy of a full PC game or two DLC, as a gesture of goodwill."

okay, thanks for the answer.
When i filled out the form, do i get some sort of receipt or anything which shows that my request has been received?
Just asking as i did fill out and send the form and the got forwarded to the Paradox Helpdesk with no confirmation that the completed form was received.

okay, thanks.
It seems i have to fill out the form again as i did not receive a Confirmation Email.

Yes, i have attached a jpg from my email receipt.
also added everything else.
Only thing i'm not sure about is my GoG Account ID, as it is said on the Paradox Helpdesk site that this is found on top on the GoG site
but i only seem to find my Account Name there no ID or anything else.
Everything else i filled in, Order ID (from the GoG Receipt, that was easy to find) , to Summary and Descreption and all other things, like check the mark at the "Please confirm that you have attached your receipt" box i did.
But still there seems to be an error as i do not get an confirmation email.

Wow, that was fast.
Got an answer from GoG.
Either Paradox wants to see the Username (as there is nothing like Account ID or anything else) or the Galaxy ID.
Which one the one is, they want i need to check with Paradox.
But as it stands i think they want the Username.

Yeah, me too.
But i asked on the paradox forums just to be sure.

First and last warning: No trading on the forums. You have Steamtrades and barter for that.

This is rather surprising. I didn't buy any Paradox games this time around, but lucky for those who did (I guess?). While I don't disagree with publishers readjusting their prices if warranted, Paradox probably should not have done it so dramatically just before a sale. They may not have meant it, but they came off as rather underhanded by doing it.

I was supposed to buy one of cheapest DLCs (~1€) to get in this program, but forgot :(. Never expected offered gifts to be this good tho.
Looks like I got Stellaris: Utopia, but not sure if it's price was even increased, but will be salty for those who bought cheap DLCs and are getting something like Tyranny for it if it's not eligible :D.

Well, I just lucked out here. I bought two DLCs in May. Considering how much money Paradox has got from me in the last 15 or so years, I won't feel too bad about scoring two DLCs for "free", even if I was fine with the price I payed for the DLC I got.

"FAQ Steam Key Re-seller and Steam
Q: I bought a Steam key through one of your approved re-sellers or the Steam store. Which products will I be able to claim?
A: You will be able to choose from the selected titles as mentioned in our main Pricing Discussion forum post."
But what are "approved resellers"? On the form, you can choose between Steam and Gog, but I don't know if those are the only "approved sellers".

Ah, one question i do have, as the thread here says every purchase from May 17. to today counts, as a friend of mine bought Hearts of Iron 3 today (he missed the Summersale ^^), but the post here :
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/pricing-change-rollback-information-thread-latest-news-here.1031635/#post-23049884
where it tells us that every purchase from May 17. till today counts, BUT the post was made yesterday, is it over for him?
He bought it today on 16:38 CEST .
So is he out of luck?
Or does this offer still counts?

okay, i'll tell him that, thanks.
Well than the 2 free dlc are just for me. ^^
Comment has been collapsed.
yeah, i told him that, and he said he'll try anyway.
So we'll see how this plays out.
Thanks for the feedback.

yeah, i told him to just wait and see.
Perhaps he'll be lucky.
Only thing i'm concered about now with my Request is, that i still did not get a confirmation email.
I did fill out the form yesterday again AND when i got forwarded to the helpdesk i got a confirmation above that my request was succesfully submitted.
But i still did not get a confirmation.
That makes me a little curious if everything worked out as it should.

Will they raise the prices of the games so it looks like the compensation value was bigger? ;)

The linked post states a three month price freeze which is all but confirming they'll be increasing the prices again after that time. A large part of the reason people had such an issue with the increases in the first place was the proximity to the sale as it's not unheard of for publishers to increase their prices before sales so that their discounts look better even if the final price is the same as it would have been otherwise.

3 months?
Haha, so by the time the Winter Sale comes everybody will have forgotten about it.
Or so they hope.
Someone definitely wants a new Ferrari.

Should be:
"We are accepting requests up to 23:59 CEST on the 9th August. You must submit your completed form by this date. Additionally, please note that you will not receive the content immediately, it will take some time for us to process all of the requests. The current deadline we are working towards is the 30th September 2017, check your email for further updates/next steps leading up to that date."
