I did have similar problems in my browser (Vivaldi). It kept getting "431 Request Header Field Too Large". Most of the other games went through the other days (some did require me to try later - also 431 problems).
However I tried logging in in Firefox. Got the game minutes later without problems

Exactly. If I am able to, I take every free game. There have been times when the ones that I knew I was not gonna play in a million years are the ones I ended up playing because all others looked too "I always play this kind of games I want something different right now".

Sharing is caring. I have friends who miss games that were free, and since most the time they damn well broke. I never mind sharing, as long as it doesn't go past them. When it is DRM-Free I see it as handing them my own physical copy over.

just to warn you about some lost jewels from epic games: I downloaded it a few months back and gave a chance to all those free games they have been giving and I found some really good games!
there are many games I wouldn't play and would pass unnoticed by me if epic games didn't give me for free. here's a list on top of my head:
night in the woods, INSIDE, HUE, the textorcist, gone home, drawful 2, a short hike, moonlighter
and there are some games I knew before but I recommend you guys too: tacoma, soma, torchlight 2, amnesia the dark descent
