My most regretful purchase from Steam is buying "Trackmania United Forever Star Edition" for £19,99 when there's a free version of the game available.

What's your most regretful purchase and why?

I only buy usefull stuff :D

But... maybe Ristar. For SEGA Genesis. For god sake, i could download some emulation soft and play it for free. It was impulse caused by a nostalgia. You know... SEGA 16-bit, playstation 1, Dreamcast...

I know man.. I've brought one of the SEGA Genesis packs too and I didn't find it as fun as I did 10 years ago but I tried (:

Test Drive Unlimited 2 ...

God by the time I got an account on the site to log in (atari has the most weirdest thing to make an account seriously). The servers were down for 72 hours. When they finally went up again ... I could not get into the game to log in. Looking up ansers from google --> add steam value when you start the game ... Like start it in windowed mode etc those shizzle .... Did not work. I do not even know how I got it working. But I played it like 2 hours max maybe haha.

That was retail and you got HL² with it right ?

Because I got the silver pack on Steam for barely 50€ with all Valve games from Hl to DoD Source. CSS, HL² and DODsource weren't even out yet..

Only for people who actually enjoy simulators, It's not bad game but the DLC's cost more than the actual game xD

TF2, I guess. I bought it at 20€ a few years ago, never got into it, and when it was turned into an F2P, all I got to show for it was a hat.

It's fun, bur it's very repetitive. Besides, I don't like that it ends in a few minutes and u have to start all over again.

Bioshock 2. sure its a great game! I enjoyed it! But because of that whole Windows Live hoop jumping, it is completely unplayable for me.

Every single one of them. I'd take them all back, if I could. If I'd known that Steam overrides local law (at least until I get a lawyer and go to court which I won't) and can force me to accept whatever SSA they want if I want access to my games, I would never have given them a cent.
