Kinda regret getting Grotesque Tactics (and that was pre-bundle, mind you, at full price on release). Humor was kinda "meh" at best, dialogue and translation (by the feel of it) seemed like an afterthought and the protagonist and his first "follower" were so unlikable I had to take breaks every time a major cutscene kicked in.
Kinda killed my "impulse buying", "on release" and "parody genre" purchases :P.

There's an interesting story behind that game. It involves the maker being a dick to his employees and other things. Also, the bugs happened to everyone so the guy most likely knew that he was releasing a half-finished product.

freees? now i regret preordering it even more... it was before they gave away beta keys, so i didn't know it'd be so bad (which is why i also preordered the dlc)
also regret amalur preorder like pennies2power... basically i regret every single preorder in my gaming life except for star wars galaxies (the ones i actually had a chance to play were super disappointing) after that binary domain sale perhaps i should take the time to download and play it... i did preorder it after all

Kingdoms of Amalur. I got the Preorder for 60 and its 20 on Gamersgate now. Oh well. Atleast I don't have to use Origin and I got... hats. :PPP

Darkspore. First, DAMN PATCHES, then you need an damn EA Account. Then, ofcourse, shitty gameplay which dissapointed me. And strawberry on top of the cake: I BOUGTH IT AT FULL PRICE (49,99€ at my country) :@

Wanderlust... Man I wanted to love that game but the controls are horrid and UI is just as bad.
Then you turn controller support on and half the shit you have to press you can only access from the keyboard.
On a more positive note, Indie Game: The Movie was one of my favorite purchases. The commentary with the guys from Meat Boy had me laughing my ass off.

"Dinner Date." How that won an award I will never know. The description is deceptive making it sound like you have some sort of influence at all. It's just a half hour of you listening to a douch bag whine about his sucky life while you control if/when he taps his fingers on the table, thats it. Every play-through is identical, you are not his subconscious your a nervous tick.

Bioshock
Fan of System Shock and Deus Ex, I got hyped like never before.. Pre ordered the game on Steam. I'm usually the patient kind of guy who waits a few months before getting a game, the time for the price to drop and honest reviews to come up, but not that time.
The gameplay simply felt dull to me. Not sure how this game got to be the highest rated game on metacritics..

Lolwut?
This is a fantastic FPS/H&S.
If you prefer "simple" FPS (COD/BF/CS/TF2/ArmaII etc...) of course you may not like, but seriously it's a very good game.

Saints Row 2, though I bought it with 2 TF2 keys from a trader. Lags like hell and crashes alot.

The indie brain bundle from steam... way back when, with big brain wolf.
Never played any of it, and I didn't realize I had such low funds on my account that I couldn't pay for gas afterwards. I felt so stupid for buying a pack that would "make me smarter".

L.A. Noire.
The game is not bad, but I didn't like it that much. I'm happy that I bought it during the sale and not on the release day as I actually planned.

My most regretful purchase from Steam is buying "Trackmania United Forever Star Edition" for £19,99 when there's a free version of the game available.
What's your most regretful purchase and why?
