So I thought I'd put together a little train bearing some Christmas gifts made by or inspired by Japanese devs. I also wanted to introduce some of the really cool thematic trains that they have here in Kyushu (all around Japan really, but I've used the Kyushu trains most frequently so these are closest to my heart). Japan's rail system is truly fantastic -- the legendary precision they run with and the ability to keep on schedule down to the second is no lie.

GA's range from Levels 0-5 in requirements for entry.
All train GA's end on Christmas Day, for a little extra something something in your stocking to enjoy. :)

Without further adieu, please hop on board and enjoy the ride!

Hehe, yeah, and the last previous design iteration (the one I used in the photo) of the train was blue, like that famous little hedgehog. :)

I'm just sad I didn't have an actual Sonic game to give away with that one, it would have been such a perfect match.

I'd rather go from Nagoya to Takayama on the Nida, then catch a bus over to Shiragawa-Go.
Higurashi village <3

Otherwise voted Yufuin no Mori, since, who doesn't wanna go to a hot springs?!

Oh man, some day I'm definitely going to venture out to Shirakawa -- minka-styled houses are just so cool.

I'm partial to the Nozomi.
Or just to Japanese trains in general, compared to trains and other public transport around here where quality has been degrading steadily over the past decades.

I'm a little bit surprised to see the Nozomi-class on top, I only voted it just because it's what I use to get from Tokyo to Hiroshima and vice versa and I hated having to change at Osaka so no Hikari-class never again. It's not as peculiar as some of those other trains though, that's what surprises me.
Anyhow, thanks for the interesting train of trains!

Yeah, I guess speed is just too sexy an option for people to pass up.
