I believe it's one of those "games" that's artificially slow, so people have to play too long to get a refund... So people use cheat engine to cheat the artificial slowness, and get their precious achievements... I don't actually know who is cheating whom... :)

Apparently this game is garbage, but if you like "real" visual novels there are some in a later area... Might take a while to reach it, though... :)
