I don't mind explaining the way to solve, it's not really meant to be too difficult, and you've given more than you've received, so why not.

Take the first one:
My first is numeric, the cube of two - (2 cubed, or 2 X 2 X 2 or 8)
My third is in fez and also in zoo (z is in fez and zoo)
My Second is a vowel used most by ELEPHANT (the vowel E appears twice in the word ELEPHANT)
My fourth is the consonant in queen, quick and quaint (q is the consonant common to all 3)
My fifth can be found in wizards and obsidian, (could be i, a, d or s, common to both words)
In pillars and humans, but never barbarian (pillars and humans narrow it to a or s, barbarian eliminates a, leaving s only)
My whole put together will give you the key
