Can Science Answer This?

Isaac Newton discovered Newton's laws of motion; is it just a coincidence that scientists discover things with their own name in it?

No, silly. They discover it and then erase every trace of it having a different name prior to them discovering it. So technically they steal the names for themselves.

They are time travelers, they go back in the past and "discover" something and name it after themselves...

Fun fact: Newton cribbed most of his "discoveries." They were teaching them in universities in the East long before Newton was born.

They found it, they want their name on it. It's all about the bragging rights xD

Pure fluke! And it is better than to discover something with the name of someone else :(
