As you finally crest the hill you can see the Basilica clearly for the first time. It's quite an impressive structure surrounded by several mausoleums which are almost equally impressive. The place is quiet. Nobody is selling postcards or sodas, and you figure you've ended up in a place that tourists don't normally go.
Also, from this vantage, you can get your bearings and you see that you've come several miles in the wrong direction. You sit down on a white, stone bench rather dejectedly, but the pleasant breeze and attractive surroundings raise your spirits. "Oh well," you think, "there's always tomorrow."
What do you do?
Head back as quickly as possible. Maybe you can still get to "Heaven's Gates" by the end of the day
Peak inside the Basilica, though you're not sure you're welcome in there
