You should not have any problem with people entering without the base game since SG won't let them enter. well unless it's a profile limited game and then even people with the base game can't enter
Yeah unless somehow they come up with a fix for it. Since profile limited game are not recognized as own, SG thinks your missing the base game even if you own it. I mean you could do a GA but nobody would be able to enter it...
You're right, it would be a good thing to add to the Guidelines at the very least.
It's rather new though so maybe they haven't thought of it yet, maybe a suggestion in the Proposed Guidelines thread would be a good idea:)

Thanks - interesting information. Seems important enough that it should figure in the FAQ or other documentation but I don't recall any mention of it.
