Unfortunately I have no real advice. I just knew about this game because it's on my broader wishlist. If both the new and old versions were available to select on Steamgifts that could give a clue or a warning to be careful with giveaways of this game. But as the old version is not in the list it's easy to walk into the trap. It's cumbersome but an idea could be to check these old bundles on SG forums or deal sites (gg.deals, isthereanydeal or on barter) and see what apps are included. That would show that the Midsummer Night in the bundle is a different app than the one in the SG catalog.
By the way your winner has an unactivated win warning on SGTools because of this giveaway so they won't be able to enter most SGTools protected giveaways till the issue is fixed. (By getting the other app for the game or by getting this GA deleted or changed to not received status.)
