You have probably already heard of this game by now, but just in case :

This is a retro-styled RPG. Minimal animation. Low variety colours. Chip-ish music. Simple lampshade-filled plot... but surprisingly involving, deceptively charming (and mildly disturbing), and with a story and characters that can totally grab you by the belt if you lower your guard.

Please only enter for this if you are able to suspend your disbelief and take a game for what it is. Hype is just a gauge of how other people felt towards the game, and this won't be for everyone. It's lighthearted, and aims to please through it's simple story and character interactions. Think of old retro RPGs that had very little in the way of gameplay, but had little plots that got under your skin and managed to make you care despite this. Undertale is a real gem and a favourite of mine.

If you doubt whether you'd like this game, look up the creator's website and try the free demo. It's a very old version, but it lets you see what kind of theme the game will follow, and will give you chance to determine if you can look past the deliberately low graphics to the cool stuff that lays underneath.
