This is one of the best games ever made. Seriously. I had the original on CD-ROM. :D
It's a combination of FPS and lightweight RPG and a smidge of adventure. It was ahead of its time and absolutely brilliant for its day. There is a team currently remaking the first System Shock for modern tech, and I can't wait until it comes out.
Long story short, this is an old game, but a really good game. If you can look past the age of the tech, you'll experience one of the most interesting and immersive games in video game history. Congrats!
