Description

2 copies of the worst game I have ever played. Includes both DLCs.

Instead of saying thank you, tell me about your worst experience with a computer game.

Trying over and over again to finish meat boy, hate that game :))

When my lovely minecraft server was restarted. It was so frustrating. It was long time ago (probably at alpha version).

Cheers!

As to worst gaming experiences, I honestly can't think of one. Although achievement grind in some game can get pretty bad ( Faerie Solitaire, Torchlight ).

Lets see... I was quite frustrated to find out that the L4D2 copy I got in a trade was the AU edition. After activating it.

Thanks. Some of my worst experiences involve corrupted save games in long RPGs or forgetting to save often enough, making me play through a good 20-30% of the game over again, or restarting completly. :-(

I know I'm going to make some people very defensive over this but I found Dark Souls: Prepare To Die (PC) to be unplayable with a keyboard and mouse. Here's what I found wrong with it:

  1. The tutorial tip things were given for a 360 controller even though I don't have one plugged in.
  2. I spend a good minute or two smashing the keyboard trying to figure out how to get to the menu. Pro tip: It's not ESC like every other game; it's the END key.
  3. The mouse movement to control the camera is fixed speed. It ignores how fast or slow you move the mouse.

Numbers 2 and 3 could literally be fixed in one day by even a half-way decent programmer who has access to the code. And #1 would be a simple enough fix: show the 360 controls if you have a controller plugged in, otherwise show keyboard controls. It's not that hard.

To the people who say "JUST USE A CONTROLLER, IT'S MADE FOR CONTROLLER." -- No. This is a PC, buddy. If I wanted to use a controller I would have bought it on PS360. Keyboard and mouse are the de-facto standard input devices for a PC and if the game isn't playable with the standard input devices, then the devs should seriously re-evaluate releasing on the PC. I don't own a controller. I'm not going to buy a controller just to play one game. When was the last time you saw a PC game that required a controller to be playable? You could argue Super Meat Boy, but even that was very playable with keyboard + mouse. Every single other action RPG I've ever played worked great with keyboard + mouse, so why doesn't Dark Souls?
