Feel free to comment about anything you're watching or playing.

I'm currently playing The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles with a friend (he's technically the one playing it, but we both figure it out together and comment about things). Love the AA series. I do appreciate that this game has the Autoplay function that most visual novels have nowadays, so instead of constantly clicking the text, it automatically goes (and I can freely eat or something if I wanted XD).
The character animations are very expressive. I also like that a character in the final case of the first game was animated to turn around and run to get something (and thats the only time that animation is used). Totally unnecessary but I appreciated it!
Ending credits of a game are normally just "meh" to me, but I actually liked the ending credits of the first game. Also kinda got the feels at a certain point of it (being vague since I dont wanna spoil it for anyone).

Not level 3 so couldn't join, I'll make do with a short comment about what I've played last night.

I'm currently living with my elder brother, also a casual gamers. Quarantine means we both have to stay at home all time for the moment, so naturally the convo shifted to what games should we play together. After looking at Steam games for half an hour strangely we couldn't decide on anything interesting until I remembered one advertised on FB a few years ago: Tabletopia. I'll tell you, once everything's set up playing tabletop games, even through a computer, is a blast. Instead of each of us playing on our own computer and mostly focus on the game, we played hotseat and kept make fun of each other, the complicated rules, the good and the bad rolls. Like half the time "playing" is just us talking to each other and moving random pieces around not progressing anything, but it's great having something to talk to one another for a long time in these quarantine days. Highly recommended anyone to give a simple tabletop game a try, "real" if possible but Tabletopia / Tabletop Simulator will do; even if you don't have friends, just join a random online room and stay if they're a rowdy bunch, I'm positive it will be great!

Totally hooked onto a game called Real Life these days. The graphics are life-like, you won't find anything like it anywhere else. But that's about where the good things end. The gameplay is an absolute chore: for the past couple of months my character is stuck doing repair works and house renovation, followed by mundane tasks at the workplace. By the end of it all the day / night cycle comes to an end or even worse, my character runs out of energy and is forced to sleep. If only the developer added a bit more time in the day / night cycle or left a cheat for unlimited energy so that my character could do something fun, I have checked everywhere but no one bothered to make a mod which takes of this problem.

Also hate the main character because his dialogues have been a bit whiny the whole time.

Sounds like you may want to go back to the character creation screen. I mean, things like beauty, luck or even smarts are really nice, but if you don't put enough points into stamina, what is the use of beauty when you don't have enough energy to go out and of smarts when you fall asleep before you finish reading the 1st page of a book?

EDIT: Or just switch to Stardew Valley, which I see is your favorite as well. We have, among others, time stopping mods here and stamina is easy to replenish. This Real Life game of yours doesn't sound like much fun and is probably not really worth playing too much - I can't even google a review of it ;).

Finally retook Shovel Knight. Shovel of Hope was meh. Specter of Torment was great. King of Cards is weird but still enjoyable, all things considered. Doubt I'll touch Plague of Shadows.

I'm playing the original Quake (that got some updates recently) for the first time, it's a lot of fun! While it lacks the personality of Duke Nukem 3D, it's awesome as far as tense combat and brown-on-brown-on-greenishbrown levels go :D

1.8k hours into the Stardew Valley and I'm still loving it. It will probably take me another 500-700 hours to finish building my "perfect farm" ;). Not in a rush though, at least yet.

I actually was looking at the steam reviews for Stardew the other day, and there was one that caught my eye.
"One thing I never realized until I finished the game is that you shouldn't rush it. I got everything done 8 years in game, found all the secrets, got 100% completionist on the tracker, found all the secret cutscenes, collected every hats, accessories, rings and weapons that are available in the game and have completed all endgame content. But when the credit starts rolling, all I feel is emptiness and a void that I can no longer fill up."

Its very true for games like this where you mostly play it to relax, that you shouldn't try to rush or speedrun it. Just take your time and savor the enjoyment you get from playing.

Thanks for the game :)

About the question (since I'm here):
I've started playing Sonic Forces, bought it last week cos it was the only Sonic game I was missing on Steam and it was 75% off, and oh boy is it a disapointment so far. I was aware that this game wasn't up to standard but I really wasn't specting the controls to be that stiff, it's hard to squeeze any enjoyment out of it, a far cry from Generations and Lost World (the previous titles made by Sonic Team).
