Happy Birthday and Happy Christmas.
Sadly, I do not have any crafty hobby.

Heya! Thanks for the chance.
Let's see crafty hobby...some small-woodworking, if I had the time. Had it once, and "crafted" a nice little pendrive case.
Mpingo (african darkwood) case, with pocket watch parts. Glued only, unfortunately.
But it's not the best. I could do better if I had the time :P

That cool! O.O <3

Thanks ^_^
Anyway, happy Birthday and happy Advent!
(I also make Advent Wreaths for my family, but I'm a lazy a**, so it's usually simple, cypress base, 4 candles and some minor ornaments red/orange/brown ... ehhehehe )

Thank you :)
Ha, I used to make them too, but... I quite, because I tend to be way to thorough and it then takes forever and I never really enjoyed it anyway, so best way to do it: Get rid of that hobby! :D

:D Great Work
Please do some more ;)

Thank you, friend :)
I will do more, when I have the time for that. Now I want to concentrate on my kids actually :)
Enjoy the holidays - Wesołych Świąt Bożego Narodzenia ^_^

Very nice! Have a happy birthday and a merry christmas season!
Guess I... successfully screwed together some IKEA furniture, while screwing up many other things?
Comment has been collapsed.
Can't say that I do. But I used to. I've painted figurines when I was younger :) If that counts.
Comment has been collapsed.
Figurins? As in things you put on the shelf and that look good?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah. That, or figurines actually used for games. Either boardgame or Warhammer Fantasy for instance.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aw, that's nice. I guess I would paint them all pink or something :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Then I'd recommend Skaven. Those rats are just crazy enough to look like that!
Comment has been collapsed.
And then I paint a big cat and even I can life with rats :]

Appreciated ;) Raising Quail as a hobby, not really crafty.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aw, I like them! <3

Happy birthday and merry Christmas! I paint Warhammer miniatures.

I'd love doing that! But then I wouldn't know what for, so that's useless for me. Good luck with it ;)
Thank you! :)

I'm terrible at almost anything that doesn't involve my hands hitting a keyboard.
...except origami, for some reason. But I wouldn't call that a hobby as I'm not actively doing it anymore. But, hey, if you need a paper crane in an emergency, I can provide.
Comment has been collapsed.
Origami is cool! I'm making every year around x-mas tons of these 3d stars - basically because that's the time of year you get nice paper sets for it EVERY where :D
Comment has been collapsed.
That's true. I used to actually do stars for the Christmas tree, back when I lived at home where we had a Christmas tree -- silver, gold and iridescent paper. Now it's just me and I'm not getting a tree and decorating only for myself. :-)

I usually make some stuff with my 2 year old daughter... paper, cardboard, playdoh, small stuff
We are planning to setup a studio to start playing with bigger stuff (wood, electricity, etc). I'm not the most skilled person working with my hands but I really want my girl to experience all of that :)
Thanks for this wishlisted GA.
Comment has been collapsed.
That sounds pretty cool! Good luck with getting bigger on that - and hopefully you won't lose a finger or something on the whole idea! O.o

Thanks, I think I have the basics covered so hopefully no permanent injuries :D

thanks

Used to make models, now I don't have the time or money.
Comment has been collapsed.
Models? Out of clay stuff?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, made mostly animals, made some cars too. All small scale, coffee mug sized stuff. I did it out of a store that went under so now I don't really have the tools or easy access to supplies.
Comment has been collapsed.
Internet!!!!!!
But... do you have to burn the stuff? I think that's the main reason that stops me from starting with that hobby. I would love to work with clay and model things. It was great fun in school :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I'd need some sort kiln or heavy duty oven to harden it. I know there's different stuff that is more like PlayDoh I could get cheap and wouldn't need such high heat and long baking time but it's just doesn't feel the same.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, it's just not the same drop But maybe you can get back to it at some point :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Nah
Comment has been collapsed.
Does baking count? :) Not really good with crafts. Happy B-day, btw!
Comment has been collapsed.
Depends. Do you enjoy it and do it on a regular basis? Guess then it counts as hobby :D Crafty definitely!
Thank you :)

I have some antique radios that I'm going to fix up sometime. Two floor models from the 1940s, a tabletop from the 40s. And my favorite, which is a floor model from the 1920s.
Need to refinish or touch up the cabinets, and then troubleshoot the radios. Mostly just need new vacuum tubes, and possibly some new wiring seeing as they're wrapped in cloth.
Comment has been collapsed.
Wow, that sounds super handy! But you don't make them steampunky, you just make them... fit again, right? Still, it sounds like a pretty useful and nice hobby!
Good luck with them :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I clean them up and keep them as original as possible. If the finish on the cabinet is good enough I just clean it up a bit and seal it to keep the patina. The tabletop has a 78rpm phonograph on the top, but the lid is missing. I'm going to have to match the wood and make a new lid, and paint some stripes on to match the original.
I've also got plans to built an am/fm transmitter with a raspberry pi so I can transmit stuff a very short distance and tune the radio to that 'station'. There's even some websites that have radio shows from the 1930s in mp3 format, so you can send them over the air to your radio.

no :'(
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh no! Why not? You can start super easy. Just take some paper and fold some Origami. You don't really have to start with super expensive hobbies :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I used to sew :3 and I still use the bag I made years ago ^^
But to be honest ^^" I was never good at it...
Have a lovely christmas time and a great birthday hugs
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not so much about being good at something but having fun with it, isn't it?
I like sewing, though I never make room for it O.o
To you too! And thank you rehug
Comment has been collapsed.
nowadays I like to "craft" figures out of cookies or make cute cakes. (if you want to see some of my recently made poro-muffins [they'll be a christmas present, so shht^^)
I used to paint with watercolor too and I have a watercolor tattoo on my side :D not self tattooed though lol
Comment has been collapsed.
OMG! They are super cute! Can I have one for x-mas too? <3
Comment has been collapsed.
Happy Birthmas. I once build a miniature steam engine to turn heat into rotation.

I make some of things now and then, but I don't think that counts as a hobby. Repurposing of old furniture into additional place for cat to rest and couple of shelves, for example, or weaving a belt or a bracelet from rope - that kind of things.
Lately, though, I'm so tired after work (I'm working in production, involved in making locks, btw), that I just relax in front my PC.
Thanks for sharing, Ninglor03.
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe a bit ;)
Yeah, I understand that. Being to tired to do anything.. I have that a lot, but it got a bit better atm :)
Hope it'll become better for you too soon! :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you, there's hope I will get some breathing room after New Year.

My craftiest hobby would be painting miniatures. My partner is the crafty one in our family - they knit, sew, dye wool, spin yarn, draw, and more!
Thanks for the GA, Ninglor :)
Comment has been collapsed.
But painting miniatures is still cool :D
Well, sounds like your partner is totally into the things I'm into :D

Ha, that's also nice! Good way to get selfmade stuff - plus you didn't have to break a sweat while making them! ;)

I love stealth games, thank you so much for the chance! :D
Regarding your question, I don't know that it counts as a crafty hobby, but I love assembling furniture for some reason ^^
Comment has been collapsed.
That certainly is a collecting hobby :] :D
Comment has been collapsed.
I meant assembling as in building furniture, not collecting it ^^
Comment has been collapsed.
Ah, well, then we are into the crafting hobby :]
Comment has been collapsed.
I do not have a craft hobby :( Unless repairing broken fencing equipment counts, but I'm only a novice at that so far.
Happy Birthday! You old yet??
Comment has been collapsed.
Id could certainly become one :)
Well at least older then the day I was born :D
Thank you ^^

It starts digital but I do a lot of my own gifts, designing stuff, printing it, cutting it and so on. Like a giant cheque for a steam gift card code. or a giant shoe out of paper for a shoe store gift code. and I do my own wrapping paper, like for my parents with their dogs on it.
Comment has been collapsed.
That sounds nice. Especially the wrapping paper part! O.O
