Was on vacation with some friends in Spain in a very nice village up in the Sierra Nevada.
We didn't have a very powerful car and heavy loaded with luggage and shopping stuff and the road grew from 'only' steep to pot- and pitholes and it got narrower and narrower. The car screamed and handbrake was not working properly.
But in the end everything played out, stunning view and a charming hidden village

Well dang, I didn't notice that "Tell me/us a summer story" part at the bottom. Better late than never I suppose.
I'm going to cheat a bit, since all my Summers have been going to Summer school or reading novels in the library.
This was March/April of 6th Grade. I was 11 years old. I got to go on my first ever camping trip. I'd never been on a camping trip before or away from home. The school was letting us kids go to a campsite near some mountains in cabins with other schools. I remember that I couldn't sleep very well the first 2 nights, because I was homesick (missing home).
We walked trails in the day, did some arts and crafts class such as sanding down a rock to make it smooth. We told funny ghost stories at night and I got to see snow falling for the first time ever. I tried to make a snowman, but I didn't have any gloves, so I used my cotton socks instead. As you can imagine they got soaked in no time. But I was so close to finishing my snowman so I would keep hitting my hands against my legs to get feeling back into them every time they would go numb from rolling the snow head. I guess this must have caught some attention.
After a half hour a girl walked up to me and offered to lend me her gloves. At this point in my life, I was super shy around girls so I said, "No thank you" and ran away. Since then, I'll never forget there are generous people out there.
