first giveaway for me :)

fun fact: nexuiz used to be a free open source game but then the source and brand name was sold to this company

fun fact: the open source nexuiz community has forked the original nexuiz and it is still freely available and open source
just google xonotic, the game play is pretty much identical to this game, the graphics are just a bit older (also its free)

no no it was OPEN SOURCE (as in you could get the text documents that made the game)

the original nexuiz (now xonotic) ran a modified quake engine called dark places

the 2012 nexuiz uses cryengine3
