Such a funny video for a game this grim. I love Portal 2 and the space obsessed core, but when it comes to Homeworld, all I remember is Kharak... burning like the tip of a burned-down cigar, millions losing their only life. It was a home I never really knew, but felt it's loss like it was my very own. TT__TT
I remember our neighbor playing it when I was a kid, I still haven't got around to play it, I was never thinking about what its story could be. You certainly made me curious.
It's story is certainly more complex than one would expect from such a 3D space-strategy!
I do encourage You to give it a chance whenever You feel like it!
