I don't like being rushed in games. I don't want to do a bunch of time based achievements where I can't take the time to look around, listen to the music and enjoy the experience. I honestly think that most of them are a way to cover up an otherwise boring game by preventing you from really looking at it. There were places in Portal 2 and the Half Life games, especially the Black Mesa mod, where I just stood and enjoyed the surroundings and music.

I didn't finish Half-Life 2 (and never started Half-Life 1), but only because I'm so easily scared and those headcrabs at some part near the start of the game made me stop entirely. Same reason I didn't finish BioShock (minus the headcrabs part). I didn't like the new Tomb Raider, because it just wasn't fun for me.

I don't like puzzles, at all. Why would I waste my non-study time using my mind like that?! Also I hate point-and-click games, especially p-n-c puzzles... Yuck. If its a puzzle platformer, that I hate too. Only good puzzle game I played was Portal.
Also, I dislike crappy platformers. If they're nicely made its fine and I like them but many cheap indie platformers make me wanna hurl.

I hate multiplayer scavenge and survive games like DayZ and Rust. They're just sooo boring and all people do is have stupid in game drama over "herp, he killed my friend!" "Well he was taking our wood!" "Only because you broke his house!" etc. Except with a lot more profanity and whining. The gameplay itself is just boring too. Running around aimlessly trying to amass a fortune of Spam and water bottles only to lose it all and start all over again. Just tedious. Even when it's single player I don't like it... ilke in Project Zomboid. All my friends really like that game but I just find it extremely boring.

I actually liked Duke Nukem Forever. I wouldn't call it one of my favorite FPSes, but it had it's moments. Particularly the part where you're shrunk down to the size of an action figure, that and the multiplayer was pretty damn good.

I just can't stand RPGs. I barely managed to play Costume Quest. Dark Souls has been in my inventory for months now, because I am scared I will hate it, too.

I have tried to play HL2 4 times, and every time I've got bored and can't play anymore after a couple of hours. The same happened to me with HL1 but finally finished it.

Can't understand why, the games are good, and I don't hate them or anything... just... happens

Yes but stubborness. hahaha

I also hate MOBAs, and miss the good ol' RTS genre. I blame MOBAs for the lack of games in this genre.

I can't get into online gaming. I like local coop or local competition, but dont understand the fun factor in playing online.

I prefer a couple of hours of beating my own récord on VVVVVV, than 15 minutes af any GTA, but I love spend dozens of hours in open world RPGs.

and thats all

My rule is that I'll give any game generally regarded as good, 3 solid attempts. If I'm still not feeling it, I just give up and move on. There are way too many games I know I'll enjoy to waste time on something that I'm obviously not.

I spend at least half of my working hours on Steam / gaming boards / WoW.
I often find excuses to stay at home in order to play videogames instead of going out with friends and the first thing I consider when going on vacations is whether a good PC and internet connection will be available.
I can't fathom the idea of getting into a relationship with someone who isn't a gamer and have turned down quite a bit of people for that reason alone.
I regret nothing.
