Rumour - CS:GO would become free to play like Dota 2

i don't know how i feel about this. i watched a few of my friends play and it looked like the one FPS i could get behind but i don't have it yet. there was always something i picked up before it and i missed all the 66% and 75% sales. so on the one hand i'll finally get to play it and on the other by then it might not even be the same game i might have liked...

thare is already a F2P CS, clicky, and it's terrible. I really hope this is just a rumor a nothing more than that.
but on the other hand I want because I don't have it yet xD

I reckon it should stay B2P personally (even though I rarely ever play FPS games). Or if they really want to make a CS game free, they should make CS 1.6 or CS:CZ free, and leave the others alone.

Hopefully not.. purely because I bought it in the summer.

Just give me my own customizable character and weapon skins. Don't let anything change the core gameplay or balance or you're going to lose the faith of the whole Counter-Strike community. We'll just flood back to Source and 1.6 if you ruin it.

Are you sure it's not just a cosmetics store that's being added? i talked to a friend and he herd it won't be F2P, just add some optional cosmetic stuff to the store so the community can fund prize pools for competitions like the compendium in DotA2

I hope it's just only a stupid rumour. I pre-bought the game because wanted to try it and not sure of f2p would help because sincerely, CSGO would become one of those ugly f2p shooters in which cosmetics have a limited time of use and that.
