I say League of Legends(LoL) and now I will tell you why I prefer LoL over DOTA

1.Has way better looking characters.In dota 2 mainly ugly looking beasts...or some other not ugly BEASTS...Can't they create 1 normal looking character(more human like) in the game...

2.It's all clear and easy to understand while Dota 2 has fewer mechanics and they are really messed up.I don't say that I don't play dota because its harder to understand...I mean come on...clean up the game Valve...btw I have played a lot more complicated games than dota 2.

3.Simple and good looking animations where in DOTA 2 it's just over animated,too many animations and effects make it look ugly,and is a lot slower game.

that are my main 3 reason why I prefer LoL over DOTA 2 and I'm pretty sure everyone can agree with me on number 3 while on number 1 and 2 it's just my personal opinion.

Dota 2!!! is the best. LoL game for fucking casual :D

I will just say 1 thing, dota was suppose to be paid for, but they just massive give extra copies to you, why? because no one buys it ^^ simple as that LOL is free to play and take more profit than doat2...

Try both. Play the one you prefer.

My recomenation is to play none, MOBA games are infurating, they are nice at the begining because hey i am learning but then you will lose because of your team or some stupid hero combo, and sometimes because of lack of skill. The thing is many times you will see matches that ARE lost and you will have to sit there how you die again and again without beign able t do anything.

If you insist in this suffering i would recomend you Dota 2, it is a more polished game, LoL has a very low skill celeing and many heroes are not balanced for competitive play, that means some heros are flat out better than others.

If you never played MOBA's start with LoL. When you learn the basics about this genre of games you can try Dota 2. I prefer Dota 2.

League of Legends. I don't know. I really couldn't get into Dota 2 but maybe because I was a complete noob to this genre

I was new to Mobas this year as well I played LoL briefly as I couldnt get a dota invite and hated it then I got a dota invite and hated that aswell. But after starting dota up again learning more about it, it has grown on me and I now love it since then I have tried LoL once and still hate it XD. This isnt me saying the usual X is better than Y flame I feel no matter which one you play you need to spend some time with it grasp its concepts to fully enjoy it.

I had a great time playing Lol, it was my first Moba. But when a few years later I tried Dota 2 (I never played the first one), I realised that Lol wasn't so great after all. It takes more time to master characters ( some are truly hard to play and require training). But once you played a few games and start to understand how things work, what items to buy, you will have a really great time.
Dota 2 is harder to play than Lol, and that is because you can do so much more in the game. 3/4 of in-game items have a special ability and directly change the way you play.

Long story short : Dota 2 is ( in my opinion) better than Lol, but alsor harder for Moba beginners.
