So next Saturday I will "become the daddy" of a 2 months old German shepherd puppy. I'm still not sure about his name though. I asked /b/ to name him, but since they didn't come up with something wittier than Ebola, Erect and Engleburt Humperdick, I'm asking YOU guys.
It's a boy.
It has to be a name with E.
If you want, I'll post pictures in a week.

You should not make a final decision before getting to know the Dog a little bit. Most of the Time
their behaviour will make you think of a Name pretty quickly. Putting a Name based on one of
their strongest characteristics (or the opposite like naming a Huge Guy Tiny) is often
a very good Idea. Nevertheless, since you asked for suggestions, here is a link to quite a few
Names: http://www.kirasoftware.com/Hundenamen_ruede_e.php
Personally, I would add to the assortment this most excellent Name: Ewok! Just don`t let Disney find out...

I swear, we always called out dog "Hundi" - she didn't listen to her name anyway. Well, then again, she was deaf anyway, so she didn't listen to anything you told her. But talking about her, we always referred to her as "Hundi" :P

For some reason I thought dinosaur name would be a good idea. And look what I found!
Erectopus!
In the end, I don't think there are any dinosaur names starting with E that could also be used as name for a dog.

But on a serious note - how about a fancy biblical name? Eber? Eden? Maybe Edom? There is quite a bit of those.

It's kind of a traditional thing over here. This is the 5th time for the breeders to get puppies. 1 = A, 2 = B... You don't really have to do it, but like I said, it's a traditional thing and people like to join in and imagine names.

You want OP's new puppy to be eaten by one of those savage koalas? That's cold, lady. Like stone cold killer cold. Are you an actual killer? No wonder you don't show your face.

Note that I show my entire face and body in my avatar. Proof that I have nothing to hide.

Actually it was more of a reference no one here understands but oh well. Also, yeah, of course, I'm so very cold-hearted, I kill innocent pixels every day in video games.

Edsel is my grandfather's name, and he has German ancestry, for what it's worth.

I'm still partial to E-Harmony though.

Mmh, difficult. Edwin, Edward, Eddison would have been among the coolest names but since your other dog's name is Eddy...
It should probably sound very different to Eddy so the two dogs can immediately tell their names apart when you call one.

Elum (like the funny mount from the Oddworld games)? Eli? Elan? Ethan? Ezekiel (short Ezy)? Ewen?

Because it is a german shepert you should give him a german name like the following
Eberhard
Eberfried
Eberwein
Eckbert
Eckfried
Edelbert
Edlef
Egbert
Egidius
Egilbert
Egilmar
Egilolf
Egilward
Ehregott
Ehrfried
Eligius
Erkenbald
Eusebius
Eward

Yeah thats all absolutely common german names, really :3
