It's not my favorite song, but definitely In the air tonight.
You know, just for 'that' moment.

First time I heard it, I swear I got goosebumps.
Not many songs have done that for me, but this version of the song is stunning.

Someone wrote in the comments under the video that the Simon & Garfunkel version makes you think, the Disturbed version makes you feel. I felt like that was a good description. =)

Hard question but let's stay in the video game theme with this two song
Death Stranding
Life is strange Before the storm

Not necessarily my favorite song ever, but it blew me away the first time I heard it.

For me I would love to fall in love again with Shadow Gallery, one of those bands that made a profound impact on me. Not a song but an entire album:

Well... two bands, and two albums:

Wow so many... i mean in a way none since that would mean id be discovering then just now instead of enjoying then for years and years.
But that rush of the new discovery and falling in love again, a new love?
Pretty much all of my favorites.
Frist that came to my mind:
The court of the crimson king

Yeah me too! Thats a nice way to explain it, that probably explain why i love progressive rock, rick wakeman's journey to the center of the earth (literally a journey)... even classical music, my favorite is 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'... not exactly a journey but a story with progression too

glad you liked it!
I think if you asked about the album rather than the song I'd also choose Can (with Tago Mago). or John Coltrane (with A Love Supreme).

That's a hard question, and I don't have an answer for it.

tough question.. it could be any classic rock/metal masterpiece: stairway to heaven, wish you were here, brothers in arms, bohemian rapsody, fear of the dark, the unforgiven I-II-III (just to name a tiny little bit of them...)
but let's just keep it in videogames and well, mostly for of what it means when you hear it, I'll go with this one
ps: choochoobump :P

At first I was trying to find one of the first rock/punk songs that made my taste go mostly in that direction, like others did. Or one of the great oldies one heard the first time as a child (Beatles, Elvis, Cash, Gene Kelly, Sinatra or something like Black's Wonderful Life).
But then I remembered something that always gives me goosebumps, shivers up to tears:
Beethoven's 9th Symphony, 4th Movement aka Freude schöner Götterfunken/Ode to Joy
Schiller's already great poem, the message in it, Beethoven's ingenious work despite his deafness (2nd movement is great, too, but not at the same level to me), the very first symphony with vocalists at all, the hymn of a hopefully soon peaceful Europe again and it's exactly 200 years old now.
Conducted by Karajan
The yearly happening 10000 choir in Osaka, Japan, this is from 2012
Flashmob at the fish market in Odessa, Ukraine, in 2014 shortly after the Krim was annexed

For me it would be Asking Alexandria's Room 138, or their whole self titled album, which is their peak in my opinion and I still listen to it to this day (since 2017). Room 138's got a perfect mix of catchy rhythm's, energetic yelling as well as dream-like pauses in between that makes you feel like you're on a trip. The story behind that album is wild lol. I'm not condoning the use of drugs in any way, though.
If I had to choose a song from a game, I couldn't pick just one. I'd want to re-experience the following Songs/Games for the first time again:
Terranigma - Opening
.Hack//G.U. Vol. 1 Rebirth - Opening
Kingdom Hearts 2 Opening
Man, these were so story-intensive and left a HUGE impact on me back then. I wish more games were like those, or at least more developers would care about their franchises or new entries...

Hmm... how about this one from Apocalyptica: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLaRATjgLIo&list=PLkdhN1PcFQw8e31Ddk5v4vtLoSGv03BcW&index=10

Younger me would say something from Limp Bizkit or Korn,
A little older, something from Pearl Jam, most likely "Black"
Now, something from Jamiroquai for sure,
But my favorite band from the beginning is, and always will be Radiohead like this performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWuAn6C8Mfc

Recently, I somehow reached level 7, so I'll use it as an excuse to start a little train. The real question is, which song would you like to listen to for the first time again? For whatever reason: how it made you feel, what it means to you, you just liked it... whatever. In my case, I would say Dead Butterflies by Architects. I don't know, it has like a wide "aura" that really gets to you, someone was chopping onions for some reason. Of course, not a song for everyone, but that's how music works!
Train ends the 12th of July @ 23:59
Quick blacklist check
EDIT: Loving how the thread is going so far, lots of new music to discover! I forgot about Loathe - Babylon..., as someone said in the comments, "the perfect soundtrack to the end of the world". It caught me by surprise how it made me feel like a small point in a whole galaxy, if that makes any sense.
HINT: Check the link
