Epic Games will keep promoting their store https://store.epicgames.com in 2020 by offering weekly freebies (sometimes multiple).

Notes:

  • these are not Steam keys, and you'll need to create/have an Epic Games account.
  • you can add the games to your Epic Games library from the store web page
  • you'll need to download and install the games through the Epic Games Launcher to play; for Ubisoft games the game will be redeemed on Uplay through Epic Games and directly playable using Uplay afterwards
  • if you missed out on a game or want to support the game through other means than Epic Store, check out the Deals link.

Best part is epic humble integration is set for July. Humble monthly will contain epic games soon.. I can't wait as my library is already 15 plus games :)

Well for me that would be for the worse. I wouldn't want games on the Epic games store. I may grab the freebies but I'm not spending any money for games on that platform. I don't have any trust in it/them.

There are already Epic games in the Humble Store. Have to be careful about what you buy now, check the platforms.

The drm-free Humble trove is a nice extra though.

If I hadn't bought Moonlighter in the Humble monthly I would install the epic games launcher now. They nearly got me :D

That's a great list of games that were given to anyone who wanted them for free. I own most of them on Steam but the ones I don't have are wishlist games. I've played Dauntless since before it got added to the EGS so I'm using the Epic client a lot now a'days so having some wishlist games I own on the EGS will likely get played.

Epic Store is totally unrelated to Steam, and thus also to Steamgifts. Games will keep the CV they have now.

It's a bit of a kick in the face to their partnership with Humble, but it's also quite amusing - people have recognised that bundles have devalued the retail sales of games, so it's only reasonable that aggressively giving out games have devalued bundles.

I'm at the stage now that I have so much everywhere, I need never really buy a game again.

If a game is rated Mature there will be a second free game. Epic wants to make sure that everyone will get a free game.

Ah, ok. I actually didn't check (I haven't paid much attention to the ratings in the last decade or so), I just went with the general impression I had of the game being kinda violent, as in probably not suitable for all ages.

Hmm I wanted to try out Moonlighter for a while, but trying to launch it and it just gives me a black screen. It doesn't progress at all, bit unfortunate. Tried verifying files and reinstalling, to no avail. Guess I'll try again later, but I'm a bit miffed
