Will you consider the Epic Game Store your new default library?
That's an awesome list games. And the newest entry, City of Brass, has been on my wishlist for awhile. :)

It looks like they are giving a new free game every week now instead of every 2 weeks.

In other news, I might be cancelling my humble monthly for good come August...
Oh and I love the way the shopping cart is only long term. I mean seriously? Any basic open source shopping cart system has a shopping cart. How hard can it be to implement?

Hahaha, I really hope he's being a troll, but it's funny either way.

I checked mine, it says Install, brought up install dialog when I clicked it. I don't know why yours is saying unavailable. I did notice that the payment history on the Epic Game store only shows the last 8 purchases. That's kind of short and they should fix that.

Kingdom New Lands is available now, Next free game is Enter the Gungeon.

For some reason I can't claim the new game. Click "Free" and the link becomes unclickable and nothing happens. Hopefully I remember to try again soon, but I already own it on Steam so it wouldn't be a big loss.

Epic is extending its weekly free games promotion until the end of the year.
Epic has announced that the Epic Games Store will be offering one free game each week for the rest of the year. Epic previously gave away a free game once every two weeks, but has since expanded it to one per week during its first summer sale.
It appears this has proven popular, because it’ll now be norm for the remainder of 2019.....

More and more devs/publishers are joining the EGS. Most of the time you won't see the game till it's up for free.
Comment has been collapsed.
They've given people 15 quality games and by the end of the year it will be 44 games, all for free. While you may feel that way now if you end up spending a lot of time on the EGS playing those games you may look at things differently at one point down the road.
I was a console gamer and when I came to PC I only wanted to buy games and play them without needing something like Steam, GOG, Uplay etc. etc.. I honestly disliked Steam back then. I eventually started playing free games on Steam because a family member did. I ended up playing more and more free games on Steam and spending a lot of time on there. Played free online games and made friends on Steam. Eventually this thing I really disiked(Steam) I didn't dislike so much anymore and I started buying games on it.

If anybody still remembers the internet from the 2000s, Steam was absolutely hated in online discussions. It was nothing but filthy DRM they called it, and how they will pirate games to punish the devs for using it yada yada. This is exactly the same thing I'm seeing with Epic today. Never show loyalty to ANY company. Value may be the best platform for customers today, but they could sell out to an Activision tomorrow and then we will be happy Epic exists. Take Epic's free games and laugh. If Epic has cheaper games, buy from them, if not, go elsewhere.
Also, if anybody is so concerned with privacy and security I hope you haven't given your information to Facebook, Twitter or any of the other online sites out there, because I guarantee you they've sold your precious information already.

What is worrying about Steam (and other online libraries) is still the DRM. When the world will have largely moved on to renting and streaming games and Steam no longer sells games as much, Valve could end up in the position where the costs of maintaining servers and storage alive year in year out will no longer be covered by fresh sales with an interesting enough margin. The Steam subscription agreement merely obliges Valve to make game licences available for as long as they feel like offering access to Steam accounts to the general public....

They keep making us offers which are hard to refuse and keep pushing and pushing. It's beyond my imagination how much money they are willing to spend on becoming commonly accepted. Wow. :o
Tho I'm not complaining about getting good games 4free. :D

1 per week, 4 per month.
The same I'm getting from Amazon/Twitch Prime.
Free backlog everywhere.

to be exact i pay for amazon prime. twitch came later as an extra, which i never meant to pay, so in my accounting the price paid to amazon is fully amortized with the services i receive from amazon prime + video prime + music prime.

Edit: I could get it a minute ago which I did, but now shows again as "soon" :D

the epic launcher is also a nice one .... but at steam are all my friends, games, mods, screenies n that ... so it would be a really "epically-hard" way ... =/

Bumping as reminder to claim Enter The Gungeon. Unfortunately it seems like switching to weekly will continue to make more people miss the freebies so remember to check back and bump regularly :]

info to topic creator: you messed up with datums on rebel galaxy and enter the gungeon.
only what remains of edit finch was tempting so far, but still, wasn't enough good to make me create an epic account, all other million times bundled, 1usd tier games like the next Rebel Galaxy and owned already on steam anyway.
which I played recently and I must say for me, that game was the worst space game I ever played. No story sidequests, even the story main quest is short and no effort, you can't move freely in the space only to turn to left or right, the whole game just a storyless money grind. Without the cool graphic, I would think that the game is from the Atari era. Oh well, better not insult those games, many of them are better.
no wonder Rebel galaxy was in 1usd tier bundles about a million of times already.
not sure rebel galaxy outlaw will be better or just another effortless, storyless grind simulator, but after rebel galaxy, I don't even want to touch any rebel galaxy title in my life.
If you liked the game that is good for you, don't take my opinion as an offense, it is just my experience, it is a free world, you can think differently:-)

Switched dates there, fixed it. Thanks. Also introduced a clearer table layout.
I also owned some of the giveaways on Steam/GOG already; regardless, taken as a whole it is quite a nice collection they've given away so far. Some of my favorites are Axiom Verge, The Witness, Transistor, World of Goo, and RiME. Perhaps none of them perfect, but entertaining enough.
