Will you consider the Epic Game Store your new default library?
Nice! More wishlist freebies :O
Now we only need a launcher that connects all other launchers.
It is a real hassle to check ALL your libraries before buying a game to make sure that you don't actually own it on another launcher.

Stuff like that exists. Now if I could just remember the name of the one I tried out (but didn't end up using ... yet). I'll try to remember and edit it in :)
Edit: Playnite, that's what it was. https://playnite.link/

Oxenfree has been bundled at least 4 times, while The Witness and Slime Rancher have been bundled 2 times each.

In fact there's around 6-7 different strains of puzzle, each with their own rule(s) and each puzzle in a strain getting more complex as you keep solving them. After a while ideas you've learned from these are combined. And by then the game also allows you to think outside of the box (literally and no I do not mean figuratively).
Apart from the puzzles the game is also definitely a looker. Just walk around and enjoy the island.

Something aside sliding puzzles? (granted i have only played like 30 minutes).
Yeah i know it looks greats but if i wanted beautiful scenery i would play a walking simulator, and not to crack on the game, just in general i am missing puzzles games that would acually crack your brains (maybe even with some word puzzles, and when i learned of The Witness i was hoping it would do that, like The Room games but they are just short and also sometimes easy.
Haven't tried Obduction but apparently that was a dud too (and never liked the Myst games as it was alot of walking too).
Like i really liked this. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3260/Safecracker_The_Ultimate_Puzzle_Adventure/ and something non steam https://www.fools-errand.com/

Well, the first puzzles are indeed simple as the game allows you to discover some basic rules, but after that some of them get pretty devious at times when those rules are put to the limits. And then the puzzles will sometimes interact with the environment in interesting ways. So in my opinion the game is quite a bit more interesting than it may look at first glance...

If you guys must play the free games on Epic and have some extra hardware lying around check out vfio/gpu passthrough. This is perhaps a terrible analogy but it is like VPN for dubious game launchers and strange things you will download using VPN.

Nice that The Witness will be available on Epic Games. I own this on Steam from the Humble April 2017 Monthly and will gladly get another copy of it on Epic, it's a very good game. That being said, anyone who is looking to play it for the first time, there are certain things you need to know about it:
1) The story in the game is rather obtuse and seemingly almost non-existent, this is by design. You'll need to look to the statues, audio logs/videos and endings to try to take a stab at this.
2) There is no hand-holding in this game. There's nothing to tell you the rules of how the different puzzles work, but there are areas with simpler versions of each puzzle type that act as a tutorial. Good news is the island is open for the most part to exploration and if you're stuck in any areas, don't worry, you can explore to other areas and come back later, and sometimes that's the best way to solve the puzzles.
3) Don't go into this expecting to get a big reward or payoff for solving all the puzzles. The reward is in the beauty of the world, the thrill of solving the puzzles and unlocking new areas, and the thought-provoking wisdom to be gained from the philosophy. If you delve into this game with the expectation of taking your time and being a keen observer you'll really enjoy it. (And if you REALLY get into the game and keep playing, don't be surprised to eventually see a VERY hard challenge area that not everyone can complete.) There are also many areas that have optical/observational perspective Easter eggs to find, this game just keeps on giving and giving if you just know where and how to look.
4) If you need it, the game also ingeniously includes a map system, you just need to know how to read it.

Sure np at all :) I should probably also have mentioned, although it goes along with point 2) above:
5) Try to avoid using a guide as much as possible. The more you can avoid using a guide and figure things out yourself the more you'll enjoy the game.

that's cool.
Liked bastion but skiped Transistor because of pile of shame... now I don't have to feel bad for having it and can play it when I find time.

Thanks! Thought it was just overloaded and have been trying again sporadically, but nope, it was indeed µBlockOrigin.
(Not even sure why I'm getting the games every two weeks, I have it on Steam and I don't want to use the Epic launcher anyway. Something about eggs and baskets, but this particular basket seems pretty bad ;))

Adding this under "My rules" made it work for me:
