I feel like a clown now. I have been selling my Steam inventory items the past 2 weeks to buy it on sale.

But if they give away GTA V for free, why are we living anymore? All those years spent idling SG wins for card profitz... just gone. The existential crisis is real.

Well, can you play Rockstar games without downloading Epic launcher, like ubisoft games? If that's true, I can see the reason. Rockstar wants to promote their store for GTA6 and get extra money from Epic, and also get new players, who wasn't willing to buy it, it's 7 years old game after all and most players have bought it for 2-3 times already :D The only downside is more cheaters, who will ruin game for these, who have bought it legally and less money from ingame purchases cuz people will make 3-4 accounts and transfer money to main one...

That seems very unlikely seeing as Epic's DRM is quite strict and CD Projekt are quite Anti-DRM.

They are going to giveaway "SECRET" stuff for a ~month, until next sale

I don't think so, it"s on sale for 15€ on epic plus I think there's a coupon. I can't say for sure the coupon works on witcher because the site is barely working but it's unlikely they would heavily discount a game to give it for free the next week.

Is this Borderlands the compilation of all games except 3?

In these 4 games is missing because this promotion will last until the 14th, there will be 5 AAA games

I can now definitely 100% confirm 25% of these games since the site is no longer crashing ;-)

One thing that makes me question the Civ6 thing, is that Civ5 was heavily reliant on Steamworks features and I'm fairly sure Civ6 is the same. I don't see how another storefront can put up the game without it linking back to Steam.
EDIT... On second thoughts, it's on Nintendo Switch as well isn't it? I suppose they do indeed have other methods for mp etc.
