I bought Fallout New Vegas for €12,5 on day of release. It was standing next to Fallout 3 that was also priced €12,5 so I don't think they knew it was something different. This was in a Belgian toy store (FUN) selling games next to a lot of other stuff.

Outside of using the steam group Hookups for crazy legit discounts?
I work at a store, we sell games. Sometimes they send down bad pricing. I work mornings and buy those games when those pricing errors happen. I get smacked on the wrist, but legally they cannot do jack all as they didn't send down the correction or email yet. A few times I have used those games during eb promotions that give you a dumb amount of value for trade-ins. I have gotten a few 60 dollar games for about five bucks that way.
Also, I got a tab2 7 inch for fifty bucks on a pricing error. Someone forgot the leading 1. I ordered it from the website and they even shipped it to me :)

A big retail shop in Poland made a crucial mistake - they wanted to discount TES3:Morrowind, but instead put TES V: Skyrim Barcodes as barcodes for discounted The Elder game ;p. For 2-3 day across the whole country you were able to buy Skyrim retail version (nice box, with soundtrack, paper manual and such things) for 4.99PLN (1.52$). Also bill from shop.

I traded a TF2 key for Two Worlds 2 Velvet Edition when the game was $0.16 in the Russian Steam store.

Dead Island Riptide - $1
Dead Island GOTY - $2
Half Life Complete Physical - $0,5
Guitar hero World Tour guitar - free (stupid support ^^,)
I think that's all really cheap that wasn't during a sale with the correct price, which would include Portal (free) and some incredible sales, like humble bundles and amazon sales.

Like the title. I'm not talking about a deal from a friend or a guy selling keys that fell off the back of a truck.
I picked up Sleeping Dogs from steam when they accidentally marked it down 90%... best $2 and change I ever spent IMO.
Also remember picking up 2 copies of Terraria when it first went on sale after release for 75% off which was then changed to 50% shortly after.
It Pays to watch fresh deals go up $$
