Pure awesomeness, plus Vin Diesel's best starring role until Groot.

3:10 to Yuma. Don't like Russell Crowe but I thought he was decent in this film, and Ben Foster steals the entire movie as Charlie Prince. I don't care if you don't like westerns, watch this movie.
Sorry, trying to steer away from all the sci-fi and martial arts.

I'd all but forgotten Murder by Death. I should watch that one, again.

I consider underated to mean just that, low ratings/reviews, not unpopular.
I'll 2nd Escape Plan I enjoyed it, though they could of focused a little more on the breakout(s).
Its sitting at 6.8 at imdb, not overly bad, and not overly good. Though very solid reviews, which I would rate it higher :P
I don't recall someone mentioning The Chronicles of Riddick, but I also watch this time to time, I liked the space/sci-fi lore to it, specially the necromonger lore.
I sometimes rewatch Underworld, but none of the franchises other movies. I personally dislike the direction the franchise took after the first movie.
edit: just thought of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, I've only watched it once, so I'm unsure if it is underrated, perhaps I'll rewatch it.
edit2: I think my overrated list would be super long, so... SO many overrated movies.
Can we talk about underrated tv series? or less popular tv series?

I generally much prefer series than movies, but I do occasionally like some movies. I also have no idea what the ratings are, nor do I like the whole terms "overrated" and "underrated", because they're illogical.
-Vacancy is the only movie that made me scared (thrilled?). And I've watched plenty of horror movies and thrillers. I have only seen the movie once though, it's entirely possible that the next time I watch it I will be bored.
-The Cabin in the Woods surprised me in a very good way. I did not expect anything like that and it definitely made an impression.

I finally saw Chappie. I cant say this film is underrated, but isnt as good as some people say. Critics were brutel with the poor fella, but the film has really nothing, no message, no nothing. Too many open fronts at the end, poorly conclusions. 6/10 being nice to Neil.

Well, while I won't say whether or not they felt underrated, here are a few of my personal favourite movies (not all of them successful)
K-Pax, with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges
Solaris, with George Clooney and Jeremy Davies
Falling Down, with Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall
The Constant Gardener, with Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz
Dead Poets' Society is also one of my favourites, and has been for years, but that's never been an underrated movie. Same goes for Children Of Men. And, while it's not 100% a favourite movie, I do truly like Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow.

Apocalypto and Unbreakable are 2 films I think should be rated higher.

I'll say
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Children of Men
Dark City
The Man from Earth
I dont think (And I think you would think as me) that these are not bad films, it just dont have the support of the critics and/or the public
Which are your underrated films?
