Guest pass win disappears and creats SGTools flag.

So 2 weeks ago I won a giveaway which I didn't realize was not a full game but a temporary guest pass (my fault I guess since the gifter did warn). I marked the game as received but now that the guest pass (and obviously the game) is gone from my Steam library, SGtools flags me as not having all my wins activated. I solved this by marking the game as not received and synchronizing both SG and SGtools.

The question is, what would the proper thing to do in this situation (marking a received win as not received) be? I wouldn't want the gifter to be sanctioned or something since it wasn't his fault.

Beta keys which do not provide unrestricted access to the full game in the future, guest passes, demos, and coupons cannot be given away.

So marking it as not received was the right thing to do.

They shouldn't have been allowed to give away temporary versions of games in this site in the first place so you'll be fine. They'll have to make a ticket to support about that though.

Thank you guys. So as I understand, It's ok to now mark it as not received and I should just carry on, right? I was concerned about possible consequences since this is my very first issue on SG.

You just mark it as not received and carry on with your life, the gifter will lose a giveaway slot which they can earn back by doing more successful giveaways.
