Everyone gets blacklisted already for creating any kind of topic. That is the life in SG. Don't be discouraged, only way to stay unscathed is to not post anything and not take part of anything. xD
That being said most people blacklist already for just disagreeing with something. And since it is easy to disagree with being anti-vegan, blacklists might come in greater numbers. Just think if you would create anti-feminist group, would give a huge backlash and hate.
Sadly SG promotes this kind of behavior a little bit due the system in place. For many it is also their driving force to be part of SG community.

Though I have no issue with the type of group you wanted to create, I would say the group type is probably the reason as it is a little.....odd. I am looking or another word. Anyways, I have been blacklisted 11 times and usually happens whenever I hold openings for my whitelist. I assume it is because of some of the requirements I have like posting a cat pic, having a ratio of 1:1 and so on. People can and will blacklist you for anything as unfortunate as that is.

I don't think people blacklist for "no reason". They definitely have reasons. The reason may not seem logical or sufficient to you, but it doesn't really have to.

Making a group? Blacklist. Making a joke? Blacklist. Having a different opinion? Blacklist.

I did a group recruitment for an anti vegan giveaway group and the blacklists went off the charts .
I had got only 2 earlier when i had joined the site and not followed the rules but people why the hate?
