What's the average ratio between public giveaways for level 0 users (you know what I mean, giveaways with no restrictions at all) and giveaways with any kind of restriction? Does the latter kind of giveaways massively exceed the first kind of giveaways and why?

Do you see anywhere something that says about giveaways of level 0 and of higher levels? :P

Wait, so you want to see the stats broken down per user type? Like for level 10, do they as a group make what % of private, public, group, etc?

I want to see the ratio between level 0 public giveaways and any other kind of giveaway.

Still not exactly what I originally asked. I want to see the ratio between level 0 public giveaways and any other kind of giveaway (for higher levels, group, invite only, whitelist - a combination of all of them). :P

Well the exact number is not available, but you can see above that around 60% of all giveaways are public, so it's probably safe to assume that level 0 public giveaways are the most common type of giveaways

But most of the public giveaways that I see that are for higher levels. :P

Can't that be derived from that page though?
The proper way would be to average the "Per Type" information, but we'll just take the most recent time point
WL 6.1%
Group 25.4%
Private 11%
Public 57.5%
Of public:
Level
0 1,000,000 ->61.6% of total public giveaways-> .616*.575= 35.4% of all giveaways were level 0
1 275,000-> 16.9%
2 125,000 -> 7.7%
3 85,000-> etc
4 60,000
5 40,000
6 20,000
7 13,000
8 4,000
9 1,000
10 1,000
(rounded ish)
Total: 1624000
Too lazy to calculate all of it, I can do it tomorrow in Excel if you want.
Also, this rests on the major assumption that public giveaways are the majority of level restricted, which isn't accurate since WL and group giveaways tend to be level 0 imo. Also, how does cg categories giveaways? How would a giveaway that is WL+Group be categorized? Is it +1 to both categories (but then there would be over 100%) or are the percentages calculated as a relative ratio?

Hmmm, it's just that most of the public giveaways I see are for higher levels. :O

Maybe we should ask JustArchi to make a datascraper of the public giveaways idk. :( But yeah, I bet that WL/group giveaways tend to make up a lot of level 0 giveaways.

well then I guess that means I'm stuck with this face forever

Is this site real? I've never won a game here in 3 years.

How come everybody has won at least one game?
In every giveaway I made, my winners always had at least 3 games won on this site. How come?

:( not me!
This is actually a really good question that can be answered by math..
People who have never won will tend to stop visiting the site (because it's a scam!). So, they can't enter giveaways to win. This biases the selection pool of entrants in your giveaways.
Additionally, each win will ratchet up your win number by one, always. So once you win something you have a 0 chance of going back to 0 wins (unless the giveaway is deleted, rare case). And once you've won 4 things, there's no way you can go back to a win number of 3. The distribution of wins will actually follow a normal distribution (ish, counting out rerolls, etc), centered around the mean expected value of wins. The expected value of wins for a single copy giveaway is 1/(# entrants), and since people enter a shitton of giveaways, the sum of those fractions of the entered giveaway is surely much greater than three.
We can run a simulation of this. Say you have 100 new users, and all of them enter a 50 copy giveaway. They have a 50% chance of winning, and after giveaway 1:
0 wins: 50
1 win: 50
The next 50 copy giveaway:
0 wins: 25
1 win: 50
2 win: 25
Next:
0 win: 12.5
1 win: 37.5
2 win: 37.5
3 win: 12.5
So after three iterations you can see that the number of people with 0 wins is shrinking quite a lot. Eventually, after many giveaways, you'll see that the majority of users will have more than three wins.

Assuming that you're a young man:
Urethritis: If you're sexually active, it's often caused by an STI, like gonorrhea, chlamydia, and mycoplasma genitalium.
Prostatitis: Inflammation of the prostate gland, of bacterial origin.
Epididymitis: Inflammation of some stuff in your balls.
Urinary tract infection: Somehow poop bacteria got up there.
Chemical irritation: Are you using Icy Hot somewhere you shouldn't?
You should visit the doctor, and make note if your urine is frothy, cloudy, smelly, bloody, or otherwise weird.

Best idea ever. Not the gifting to a girl I like, but the freezing and gifting >=D

It depends if the settings for the discussions have been set to public or to member only. This can be determinded for every discussion section seperately. So it's totally possible to have some group topics open for public viewing and some of them only for the members.
If there's a specific group you want to know about, best ask their admin.

If I go down a level, do I have to remove my entries for giveaways from the higher level?
Comment has been collapsed.
No, but the giveaway creator can ask for a reroll and have it granted.

So... Is giving out games while having expectations from the winner really in the pure spirit of giving? Me... I don't care what happens. I give freely with no strings attached. Play it, don't play it, I could care less. Thank me or don't thank me. It is yours to do with as you will, and I am not going to be upset, since what was once mine is now yours, and any attachment I had to the giveaway is now over with, and they may do as they wish.
Point is: I am simply giving because I want to give. I'd feel like a hypocrite if I expected anything in return. It's nice to have some back and forth, but I won't ever get upset once I have given something away. It's theirs, and that's the bottom line. As long as it is within the rules of Steamgifts, I don't really care after that point.
Just wondering others' thoughts on this, and why it bothers some people so much... Does it bother you personally, and if it does, then why?

Yeah, I know what you mean... Someone brought that to my attention early on, not because I did not thank them personally, but just in a general chat back and forth... and I thought about it ... and ever since, I have been sure to thank everyone! Well, I hope I did not miss any, but I do my best!
