Seeing that all the comments on my last posts (http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/rLA6r/how-to-get-some-free-on-demand-games and http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/hXBP9/my-auto-add-f2pdlcfree-on-demand-games-free-stuff-like-trailers-and-demos) were negative I thought that I should stop because no one wanted it. but when I saw this comment

"i find this amusing, i bet he cant script anything himself so i am patiently waiting for him to make the options, to select each thing.
so far he added the names which was a 10 min task then sorting them which is another 10 min task..

and he somehow is still at it 3 weeks later..

when asked in the previous topic by users what this do, he said it adds everything "free on demand" to the library but that is not entirely true... it adds some of it.. some dlcs and some games so basically what steamdbs script does ... when asked then why not use steamdbs ?
he says it adds all free 2 play games and dlcs and covers it up in a selectable option menu of some sort.. but ... they end up in account page... so they are just visible, that does not mean they end up in the library .. bringing it back to what people keep telling him that activation will be slower for keys, because you filling up the subscription + licenses page up with junk that nobody else can see but you and the steam api..

but again i find this amusing and i really want to see him think he reinvented the entire script by himself when in fact he has done nothing besides added names the past 3 weeks."

I started to work on it again.

I like adding all the free to play games to my library. I know that it doesn't do much, but when I view my Games, it is nice to see all my options of games to play in one place, including the f2p stuff. There are many free games on Steam that are not mmos that I may want to try in the future. Besides, who doesn't like to scroll through more icons? It doesn't crowd your library.

I ran the code again and nothing new was added to my account but there were also no errors so this code still works pretty fine
if you are looking foward for this remember that there will always be negative feedbacks and don't rush this project to avoid any errors

maybe you could try to create a script to add all games and dlcs to the wishlist in the future? have at least two users on my friends list with all games and dlc's that they don't own on their whishlist but i can't find any script for that on google (or maybe i'm just too lazy to look further)
thanks for updating the script!

Is there a chance that you build in a option that people can choose games with

  • Singleplayer only
  • Multiplayer only
  • Single- and Multiplayer
  • Every free game

?

Am I wrong or is it already done? Somehow I have a problem to get the code to work. Would you please explain me what exactly I have to do? Copied and pasted the code into the console (where the URL is shown) and I get a error meassage: Service Unavailable - Zero size object / The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later.

How do you had to your steam game list all the free games? Do you have install them all

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

this does not add them to your library it adds them to your account so no you don't need to install them.

I actually used the opposite tool: One that removes all Free-to-Play games from my account. I don't have a problem with F2P games, or people who play them, but I'd rather not have them clutter up my library. And I'd already have a number of them on my account from earning Playfire credit.

In the meantime, I know people can manually remove individual F2P games from their accounts via the "Licenses and subscriptions" tab of their profile. You scroll down to each game and click "Remove". The only problem with something that removes all of them is that it might remove a F2P game that you don't mind having.

Were you able to find that thread? I would like to remove all demos/videos added to my account. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Actually, I believe I found it here:

All the filters work and the games are sorted however I am still using the wrong package id so the games wont end up in your account yet give it a week and it will have all f2p + dlc 99.99% bug free and constant updates!
