Prolly go with a raccoon. My granny used to keep one, my dad, and my uncle too. Few years ago, a raccoon had babies under our porch, and since I spent so much time outside near them, they got pretty friendly towards me. Could hand feed any of them (there were 3, then a runt the mother found somewhere. Was too young to be hers and wasn't the right color). One even got to come in the house to eat she was so neat and gentle.
The friendliest baby we named Sweetpea, and she still lives here in our basement, and she's still a sweetheart, but I wish I had actually put some effort into really taming her when she was a baby.

A Siberian tiger, the biggest and the fluffiest of them all Panthera tigris. ^__^
Even though I'm aware big cats shouldn't be owned as pets. They belong in nature or at least, in sanctuaries.
But what I would give just to be able to cuddle with one and hug and pet... and just lay on it as if it were some kind of giant pillow.
It's a pity they can't purr. Can you imagine the sounds it would make? OMG. :3

Animals that people have previously managed to tame before aren't off the table. And by tame I mean that the animal would never suddenly snap and hurt you unless you antagonized it, and that you can take care of it without it suffering from the effects of captivity.
I would like an otter, or perhaps a small horde of elephant shrews. They got such cute little snouts.
