Мне постоянно припоминают игры, которые я купил, но не играю.

Yup, many times. For different reasons. I once bought Silent HIll: Homecoming, and I hate that game with a passion. I bought it because a) it was dirt cheap, and b) it's not available in my country's Steam store, and I could buy a key from Fanatical. So I guess it has something to do with rareness?
The other reason is that I need to serve my OCD, by getting all of the games from a series, I just can't stop the completionist demon inside of me. And bundles are a great way to pull money from my pockets.

I almost never buy a single game from store at all. Only when I know I'll play it a lot. I wanted to buy Skyrim and Fallout 4 for years (have played them before but never owned them). But never got around to it. So just got them several weeks ago and have already played some 100 hours between the two already.
Games I dont get around playing - only when they come with a bundle and I have at least a little desire to try them eventually. I have 800 games and I wont probably stop buying bundles or desired games. I wont buy games I dont want, but I don't regret getting games I haven't played and I don't care about backlog that much. I'll get around playing them anyway - usually finish some new game and one older inbetween. When I see something in a bundle I wont play 100%, I plan to give it away

The question is, know or know?
Not that I buy many games these days, but if I buy any, it's on the assumption that I will play them at least to an extent. This doesn't mean that I don't realise that I could play something else from my backlog.
And yes, I think it's a mental problem. It's just nice to spend money on something that you think is worth a little bit of money, even when you know that you might not realistically end up using it. It's not only for games. In fact I buy a lot more book bundles on Humbles than I buy games, and I know I will never read even 1% of them.

Nope. Unless it's a game in a bundle I bought where I only wanted some of the games, but kept the rest for trading cards. If no trading cards, then I give them away on SG.
If it's a game I want on sale, even so the sale has to be extremely good and it has to be one of the games I'M BURNING to play. In which cases, I do play them within 2 weeks usually.

I try to only buy games that I would like to play, but... I buy way too many to actually play, so yeah, I get games I know I'll never play. :( Likewise, I also try to only enter SG giveaways for games I think I'd get some enjoyment out of, but I actually get to even fewer of those. So many games, so little time!

I only buy games that I'm interested in playing, even if it will take me a long time to clear out my backlog
Thanks for the giveaways btw

I know some people see it as a simple hobby of collecting things, some would hope to eventually have every possible Steam game in their library just to have them. Some even collect inventory gift games without any intention of ever redeeming them into their library. I'd call it a hobby even though I personally don't understand the appeal at all, I only want games that I think I would eventually play. Ideally I'd want to one day say that I've played every game on my account, so I can't connect with the mindset of having thousands of games just because they were in a cheap bundle.

Thanks for all the giveaways!
I kind of had this problem to start with. Not so much that I wanted all of the things I didn't have, but I'd get a bundle and keep any game that looked 'like it may not be too bad'. That resulted in me having a lot of games that it turned out I didn't really enjoy, or at least didn't like enough to justify the play time. So now I try to be much pickier. With a bit over 600 games myself though, I definitely won't get to play them all. Which sucks because there are so many in my library that I think I'll really enjoy but probably will never get to.

I bought all of cs series in valve collection even tho I already knew I would never play most of games in the collection like cs:condition zero. But I felt so satisfied when I bought them because I'm a big fan of cs series! hehe

Unfortunately, I have that habit - though, it's more out of a not knowing when to play them, not if, I guess.
By the way, there's an issue with the Maser Spy giveaway - apparently you need to already have the base game to be able to enter. If that's a problem or not, I guess that depends on your point of view. I just wanted to let you know in case you're not aware, yet.

Nope, it happens that I get those "get this game for free" offers even if I won't play this, but never happened to buy something I think I won't play, neither enter GAs about games I'm not interested to.
Tbh only thing that happens to me is:

I crossed the "600 games" line recently and to think, 600 games is enough to play for a decade or, even, for a lifetime. Pretty sure that I won't ever launch like 30% of my library. And still, I spent my money on em, why? I can't even answer. I just made a purchase because I had money.
You know this feeling, when you see a new bundle full of unknown titles, and your mind goes "daym I need this". A lot of you have thousands of games and I bet you're not done yet. So what's this, a hobby or a mental problem? Would love to read your opinions and solutions.
Also, level 7 rush, games im not interested in, but YOU may be thrilled to get. Good luck!
