Hi. I just had this quick thought while reorganizing my wishlist (again for the nth time).

So yeah, are you willing to give up all your Steam games to get the top 5 games in your wishlist?

For the benefit of the question, let's say you won't be able to play the free-to-plays you currently own AND you won't be able to crack (illegal download) the games you own too.

In my case, it's probably a NO. I'm getting addicted again to DOTA2 after a one month break. I also have my 3DS. Still, I'm really itching to play The Typing of the Dead:Overkill & Nidhogg with my brother. It's still a NO for me though :p

You can post your top 5 wishlist here if you want. Here's mine:

  1. The Typing of the Dead:Overkill
  2. Nidhogg
  3. The Elder Scrolls:Skyrim
  4. Don't Starve
  5. Defender's Quest:Valley of the Forgotten

Ultra Street Fighter IV should be my top 1 but it's not out yet...

Interested in your answers and wishlists :D

EDIT: Like I said, it was a quick thought and asking this in steamgifts might have also something to do with the overwhelming NO response XD
Anyway, what's your take on how to sweeten the deal?

Uhm, it's Steam. It's not that hard to get games that are on your wishlist. Why would I give up my 300 games for 5 games? lolwtf

Everyone is like HELL NO 1k games for only 5, I took my whole life to do this collection of games that I don't and surely won't play.

Nope. No 5 games is worth losing the opportunity to make life hell for Attila in Civ 5. As for a wishlist, I would rather see these games become available on steam and updated to work with PC (which obviously will never happen):

  1. Breath of fire 3
  2. Suikoden 3
  3. Secret of Mana
  4. Day of the Tentacle
  5. Xenogears

I can see why the other 4 haven't been added, but Day of the Tentacle? If Monkey Island is on Steam, why not that? Maybe there's a good reason, but I can't see it.

On my secondary account that has 4 games I'd say yes. (I'll need to create a wish list there.)

Are we talking strictly Steam wishlist? If so then Nope! Otherwise maybe.
Most games I want at the moment are unreleased or unannounced.

  1. Fallout 4
  2. The Witcher 3
  3. Dishonored 2
  4. Warhammer 40,000 Eternal Crusade
  5. Cyberpunk 2077

Yeah, if they were games that may be made in the future, I would consider it!

The sweet spot I think would be 10 games not 5 and the ability to keep the free ones.

Nah... probably not, who would ever give up Portal, or restrict themselves from playing Free To Play games?
As for the top 5 on my Steam wishlist that would be...
1.Torchlight 2.
2.Recettear - An Item Shop's Tale.
3.The Last Remnant.
4.E.Y.E - Divine Cybermancy.
5.Call of Duty - Modern Warfare.
Each one would probably last me a nice amount of time as well.

900+ games in my library. If I could put 'Steam Complete Collection' in my wishlist, then definitely. I'd get back everything I would lose. It's like saying you'd give up your girlfriend for the world. Well if your girlfriend is a subset of the world, now you have a kingdom to rule over alongside your queen.

No one in their right mind would do this, not with a regular account anyway.

Trade 6 games for 1200 games? Not to mention those 6 will end up in bundles or heavily discounted if I wait some more? Are you high, sir?

Top 5 are useless unless you do not have any games at all, it is a question that only someone without games can answer yes to

My external hard drive that I kept steam on went corrupt in December, so yes, it did delete my entire steam library. But no, Im not willing to delete what I've re-downloaded.
