Yeah, game clearly wont look like the 2013 reveal showed..not even close.
The 35min gameplay from year ago or whatever is close, but final version still seems a little worse.

The graphics seem better in the final version compared to the 2013 one from what I could tell.
More crisper, which could be the resolution difference.
Trees and plants, etc moving in the wind, which were very still in the older version.
Reflections seems a lot better in the new version as well. Especially the armor.
Not too convinced with the color palette in the new version, although I do prefer the fact that its not as washed out anymore.
And the number of people have been reduced as well, which I suppose is a bit of a downgrade, but not something that I will mind too much.
Aside from that there were a few things that seemed better in the older video, while some were better in the newer video. Its just not enough to be an issue either way, unless you are comparing things side by side.
So yea, I think this whole downgraded issue has been talked about too much.

I dunno what is your build, but most fights with tough single enemies I just drank Thunderbolt, Rook and Tawny owl, buffed the sword with some oil, put up Quen and hacked away till it dissolved - then put Quen up again. You are a one hit kill, but if you dont get hit everything dies pretty fast.

Yup, i'm near the end of chapter 1 in witcher 2, but i remember enough from my previous playthrough and from my experience rewards for transferring your saves are mostly just getting some cool equipment on start and the choices as to which large group you joined. It would be nice if they included more, like Dragon Age, but its fine either way, the game is gonna be good.

im hoping to get a few hours in tonight but it all depends on everything going smoothly at their end. im sure there will be the inevitable extra files to download and as usual with a big release the servers will be getting hammered meaning slow download speeds regardless of how fast a connection we have, hopefully it wont be to bad for the GOG version? im off work tomorow so if things dont go to plan tonight at least ill have the whole day tomorow to play.

trying to download the preload files was terrible on GOG if you tried when they first let you. :x was getting 100kb/s download.

the servers might bork though with everyone downloading at once. they were already awful for preloading.

Whoever has download speed issues from GoG, try downloading the game files from the website, not the GoG Galaxy client. I tried to download from the client and didn't go above 200kb/s, but from the website i could reach 5-10Mb/s easly. If the download speed issues persist, maybe the servers are just full.

i loved the first 1...i preordered retail version of the second chapter and what' i can say?? i never finished it..i hate UI and combat system and even the gameplay related to potion,crafting...hope this will be better. i'll buy it when on sale and when i 'll get a new GPu
