Well W3 is not perfect game. There is only one perfect thing in there - storytelling. And for game that big it's basically bug-free (if we compare it to Bethesda games)
Apart from that story is lame, it's full of MMO filler quests, controls are not responsive, UI is terrible (as menus, lists, crafting windows). I had bigger expectations about this game and without like 10 mods it'd be way too annoying to play.

Yeah it looks great and the world is huge, but somehow I find Skyrim a lot more interesting...

It's a lot better modded indeed, but even non modded I liked the last free week-end with the Special Edition (or enhanced edition, whatever they called it ^^)

Hmm... I had poured hundreds of hours into Skyrim, especially since I discovered modding, but I can't say it's much more interesting, to me it feels too much like a procedurally generated sandbox.
But your experience is your own, different, so you might see it another way. :)

"vapor dosh you're a freaking weirdo. You better vaporize like your name says or dosh away you freaking pice of crap." ;P
But lol, I need to get Witcher 3 somewhere still, just haven't decided which system.

To be fair, you need to have a very high IQ to understand Hyperdimension Neptunia. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of advanced memetics most of the jokes will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Noire's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Hyperdimension Neptunia truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Neptune's existential catchphrase “Nep Nep,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Idea Factory's genius wit unfolds itself on their monitor screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, I DO have a Neptunia tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

The only other time I've seen it is in a review for Pocket Mortys, I thought it was just a retard but now I realize it's a joke...

Where did these start from?
Edit: Holy crap it did start with Rick and Morty... Oddly enough, it came up in one of my church meetings yesterday...

I agree with ambidot. The witcher 3 really is terrible. It stole 200+ hours of my life and kept me up all night long several times. It even gave me a depression after finishing it and i didn't know which game to play for a while.
I wish i could turn back time to play it again so i can spend those hours in a better way.

Since we are here. Oh good is stand alone gwent? I liked the game within the game, but in W3 it felt more like a concept.
Ai was too easy to beat. There are only a few different strategies, that ai uses as well. And the special cards where a scummy way for weaker players to easily complete those side quests.

This post made me reluctant to buy Witcher 3 in the future :<

Don't let one post influence you. Witcher 3 received critical acclaim and it's difficult to find a review of it, that doesn't recommend the game at all.
Witcher 3 is a fantastic game from a great developer, who doesn't just shit on the players with microtransactions and cut mission with costly, but useless DLC. The DLC of this game won game of the year, and while that might not mean much, it does tell that the expansion was as big as other games.
CD Project Red's game is amazing at storytelling and the game feel is pretty incredible. Not all side quests are meaningful, that's true, but a lot more of them feel like you are part of a bigger story and all add to the world in some way. I remember a lot more side quest from this game, than any other RPG, simply because the characters and their stories are well written and well executed.
I can not agree with the complaint that the writing is terrible.

I am well aware of all the praise it received and don't worry my comment is a troll reply to the post :)

Hey now, Devil Daggers is a good game. But worthy of a favorite game, that I cannot be sure about.

Gameplay wise it deffo triumphs any Witcher game. The combat is so clunky and unintuitive, not to mention devoid of challenge in this so called "masterpiece series"

I understand you perfectly, it's that 'unique' opinion that, in a very very very strange way, sticks in your head with a lot of "what if".
I don't know the psychological reason behind this, but I think ambidont is doing a bad troll attempt here. Worst than dark souls 2 and worst than the other game he trashed last time.

Amazing for the era. But as with most relics, it isn't worth exploring today unless you have the nostalgic attachment like us. Things won't feel innovative to a new player, as they've already experienced SoM's influence across decades of gaming.

Thank you for a very understanding and nuanced point of view - that's exactly how it feels as someone who DIDN'T grow up with these games looks at old classics.
I saw the Secrets of Mana remake on steam and I'm very excited to play it.

10/10 contrarian opinion, even mentions Linux, would read again.

Apart from Linux talk I agree with you.
Witcher 1 and 2 were MUCH better games...IMHO.
