DLCs are confusing for BL3 they have 2 different season passes, season pass bundle, digital super deluxe and ultimate editions, director's cut, designer's cut and a ton of dlc..
So after the Director's Cut dlc, you still need 2 season passes which are more expensive than the ultimate edition.

If you want the game to contain all story missions, then you don't need to buy all the DLC, it's enough to take only 3
1) Borderlands 3: Season Pass (contains 4 story missions)
2) Borderlands 3: Director's Cut and you got this DLC along with the game
3) Borderlands 3: Designer's Cut (new game mode)
However, if you decide to collect all the DLC, then there is no point in activating the DLC key, because the second season ticket contains this DLC.
But the most annoying thing is that if you want to have all the DLC, then buying an ultimatum edition will be cheaper than buying two season pass (for Russia anyway)

Is it possible to change region on Humble before claiming the keys? How lenient are they on region changes in the account settings? I used a gifted US prepaid card on my Steam account and now my Steam account is based in the US for a while, so I wouldn't be able to redeem the EU key right now (made that horrible experience with Mafia: DE, which was the sole reason I became a first subscriber for Choice)

You can try using a US IP to set a US state as your HB region before unlocking any part of the bundle. I expect that gets you US keys.
My educated guess is that if you already claimed the bundle [= claimed any key other than BL3, created a gift link for anything, etc] but not yet revealed the key(s) with relevant locks, you will get keys from what your region was at bundle claim time.
We'd be very slightly grateful for the involved scientific effort if somebody actually tests this – claim any other key, check BL3 gift message, change region between f.ex. EU -> US or US -> EU, then see what BL3 gift msg shows and see what BL3 key you actually get.
For a pre-paid annual sub, I think it was the case that the HB region at annual billing time is the decider for the entire year after. From what I can tell, this shouldn't be the case anymore.

Worst case, if you change to US and then claim the bundle, you'll get a EU key you can't redeem until Steam lets you? So no real loss unless you want to play BL3 ASAP or want to trade it to ROW users.
I just tested moving to EU and back to US and in the pre-redemption UI the locks show as I described in the first paragraph. If there really are issues, you can also try contacting HB support and explain that you set the region before and should get fitting keys – they'd likely be happy to help.
(If Steam wackily changes your region due to a gift redemption, does it even apply a cooldown until you can change back with a payment? I'd assume this shouldn't be the case.)

Thank you for your lengthy post! I contacted HB about the EU Mafia key two days ago and I'm currently waiting for their reply, but I doubt they will exchange it. I'll probably just switch regions again until I want to use the remaining credit card value. Oh, and there's a 3 month cooldown every time you switch regions on Steam. This comes up when you have to want to choose a different region than your current one during checkout: "This will prevent you from changing your country again for 3 months."

I meant that the three months cooldown probably does not apply if Steam decides to change your region for absurd reasons like redeeming a wallet code. I know it applies if you change the region yourself by buying something in another country.

Hi, I have a couple of questions. My friend in the US sent me a gift link for Borderland 3 and I already accepted it. But since I know Borderland 3 is a region lock, I wanna ask if I will be able to redeem it on my SEA steam account when I reveal the key? Does HB decide key's region based on where you reveal your key, or where you accept your gift link? Sorry I'm still quite new to HB

I saw Borderlands 3 and for a very few seconds my heart leapt. But I've zero interest in the other games, and because I want both season passes, and there is no upgrade bundle on Steam, I'll just have to wait for a heavy discount on the Ultimate edition. I'm only just now playing The Pre-Sequel, so I can wait!
This is the most obnoxious aspect of DLCs - when a game offers a GOTY or Ultimate edition with everything but penalises early buyers of the game by not offering some discounted way to get everything. Don't they realise this makes us less likely to buy the game?

I saw BL3 and was like "Ooh - can't wait to try it!" Then I clicked install and it's 105 GB. Does that seem crazy?
Edited to add - I have a monthly internet cap and 105 GB on day 1 of the month is not going to happen. Maybe if I have ample left on the last day this month... And I remember to install..

Because we don't live in 2010. Games are bigger now. Of course they would take more space. Especially for a game with high quality textures and, what's more, Borderlands 3 has so many audio files. It's definitely "just" 105 GB. It would be crazy in 2010, but for today, I wouldn't say so.

well IOI did some good work for Hitman 3 and lowering install size including H1 and H2 to about 70GB, so it's comes down to optimization
but gotta admit, those audio files usually take pretty huge chunk (hate to download 8 language when only going to use english, same goes for resolution when my monitor is just up to one)
sadly good old times where installers had more choices to choose what to install, are over :(

indeed, I can be fine to have resolution related files download (also good examples are as DLC like Shadow of Mordor, I know that OG Skyrim had, yet FO4 still has, but reviews tell that Bethesda F'ed latter up)
some people may say who cares about audio, it's about video files, but actually most games issues come from high-res audio files :P (especially if there is a lot dialogue and there are 8x files for them :P)

I will say it once again. Borderlands has tons of audio files and high res textures. I'm pretty sure Resident Evil is not as big game as Borderlands 3. You can't compare different games, just because they are made in similar time. For example if You install some pixel graphic game made today, it won't be as big.
105GB is not too much. Not in 2022. I don't know how much internet speed improved in different countries, but games will be bigger and bigger. You want graphics to improve, more technology like Ray Tracing and things, but games having 50GB? This is ridiculous. It will only go up. And should go up. Unless someone make a compression so good, that it won't lose quality, and will reduce the size significantly, without affecting loading speed. The more high quality something is, the more space it takes. Higher quality audio file can even have few dozens of MB. And today games have more player - NPC interactions. Borderlands have tons of those and every audio file has to weight some. Every texture as well.
So no, 105GB today is not that much. I don't know why people are complaining about this. Because they have limited or slow Internet? I feel bad for those people, but it's still not a reason to complain. It's not possible to make a game like Borderlands and not take 105GB space. Because this game is very big. Smaller games weight less. Bigger more. it's pretty normal for today that game is above 100GB.

I mean as long as it isn't poorly optimized, I don't think we can really say anything about it. You seem to be of the line of thought that it's only so large now because they can afford to with current hard drive sizes which obviously isn't true. Everything has increased in size in recent years, and I'm honestly not in any way surprised that games are so large these days given the level of detail and configurability included. Obviously if all the language packs weren't installed, you could install only up to a certain graphic preset etc you could reduce the size, but it must not be worthwhile for most companies considering install options are not the norm.
