What are your thoughts about the new changes to Humble Choice?
I got a $6 deal e-mail today but just for this month.
Maybe you will get one too.

If it was a code I'd give it to you, but it's just a link to resume subscription to apply the discount.

Time to pause once again.
8 games + 1 DLC would be understandable if it were 8 great games. But it feels like 9 pieces of sh!t to me.
4 wishlisted but I don't really care about them. 4 games I'd never spend money on and would only play if gifted or if I won in a ga.
4 I'd never play. Not even if they were free.
This is the worst month in my opinion.
Was offered 4$ discount when pausing and turned it down.

Skipping this month. Will probably just cancel next month unless I'm really impressed.
Borderlands might have been worth it if it was a complete edition.
If you're skipping make sure you click that final Skip A Month prompt. The url should say something like confirm=true at the end. You'll also get a bar at the top of the choice page stating that you skipped and asking you to resume.
They certainly hid it well and made it more obtuse this time.

For me it is quite nice. Had Per Aspera and Before We Leave on my wishlist, and somehow already quite sure that I will have more game-time with it than I would have with the newest Cities: Skylines DLC at around the same price.
And a bit of shooty shooty with Borderlands 3 seems a nice bonus, where I am not likely to care about DLCs anyhow when I will perhaps barely get around to finish the main quest line.
As for the number of games, I can easily live with a lower number when among the remaining something to play is. Like in this case, 3 out of 8 games getting played is an improvement to 1 out of 12 games getting played. (Which isn't to say that the games, which I don't get around to play, are bad. But simply not much a point in getting a bundle when that one game I will play may end up cheaper than the cost of the bundle.)

Plan Type: Classic Monthly
is there any advantage to Classic besides the extra 0.65โฌ?
Comment has been collapsed.
classic plan is billed in USD ($11.99) and normal plan is region based and it's in EUR (9.99โฌ)
$11.99 ~= 10.64โฌ
10.64โฌ - 9.99โฌ = 0.65โฌ

ok, i checked myself in my country, and its almost 1โฌ on my bank normally(50zล paying with $ and 46zล with โฌ). But im using Curve card, and there is almost no price difference than using โฌ through my bank :D

Aww, that's super sweet of you, Adam! ^^ But I can't accept... I'd feel really bad if I ended up absolutely hating Everhood. It is intriguing so maaaaybe I'll try to get it in a trade. If you've played, did you find it to be very difficult? Well... my first question should have been: are you good at rhythm games? :D
Comment has been collapsed.
are you good at rhythm games
As a casual, pretty good.
did you find it to be very difficult
Some fights, but I think one was intended to be lost, and the another one was optional content
I'd feel really bad if I ended up absolutely hating Everhood.
I won it on a whitelist giveaway and I kind of really disliked it lol. It was interesting and I was curious about its ending, but nothing really hit the "this is cool" level for me soooo.... if you want to try it, that's good enough reason to give it to you. People really seem to like it but it has no darling-value for me.

Huh, so it's back to Tuesday now instead of Friday. Wonder why they decided to change that?
Comment has been collapsed.
Did it? I guess I've been too busy over the past half year to notice :p

Worth for me just for bl3. Especially they gave me 4$coupon :)

nope, pressing 'pause' and unpausing again will reset your counter

Based on info shown in settings after I have paused, it looks like you are right. However, based on prices on the Humble store, it looks like I get ~10% cash-back to the Humble Wallet instead of 10% discount. I think you need to be subscribed to get a discount.
Comment has been collapsed.
he asked about 20% if its reset, and i didnt respond about if its gonna be 10 or 0 after reset :)
Also i dunno why im at 20%, as i paused at least 3-4 times last year

I asked this to the support in January. They told me that even if I would pause and unpause IN THE SAME MONTH the discount would fall to 10% and it MIGHT be brought back to 20 after contacting the support, but nothing automatic. So yep, no more pausing "just in case of a coupon" if you care about the discount.
EDIT: and it seems they answered me wrong. From the FAQs:
"Can I avoid my stacking discount resetting when skipping a month?
If you successfully skip a month before auto-billing takes place (the last Tuesday of the month), you may resume at any time prior to auto-billing to avoid your perk resetting. However, once auto-billing has successfully completed, your stacking discount will be reset if you still choose to skip."

Pause/skip from me this month. I normally buy in if 1 or 2 things interest me but, of the list on offer, I'm not seeing much I'd want. I've heard B3 was weak, and only really tolerable for co-op. Black book looks interesting but it'd likely be one of those game I'd only ever try if I got it free.
I'd actually love to see their choice metrics at the end of the month. Considering this is the first month of the new(new) monthly model, and the seemingly weak opener, I'm really curious as to how well or poorly it's going to be received.

Been on a Classic plan this whole time but just been pausing a lot. I'd be interested in Borderlands 3 but the DLC situation is really confusing (I'd only want DLC that has story content, I don't care about just cosmetics) so I'd need to buy some stuff anyway...
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmmmm no, I think I'll skip that one. There's one game on my wishlist that I might attempt to trade for. Or not. I'm pretty sure I would suck at it so I don't know if it would truly be worth adding to my backlog library. Borderlands 3? Eh, I didn't like B1 much. Apparently, Borderlands 2 is better than the first... buuuut I still have to play B2, so I don't really see the point of getting Borderlands 3 right away. I don't think it's a terrible bundle, it's simply not really appealing to me.
Whelp... I was waiting for the new HB Monthly to drop before deciding if I wanted to pick up something from the Lunar sale.. That I don't like this Monthly is good news, I guess. That means I can purchase one or two cheap games on Steam. :3
Looking at the poll... more people are salty that we're not getting 12 games now? Well damn, you guys certainly weren't around when HB Monthly started: 6 to 8 games for $12 aaaaaand on top of that, it was a semi-blind buy as only headliners were revealed.

I'm really on the fence on this one, except the part of previous borderlands, which I would reeeeally like to start someday. Somehow, I feel like I'm exactly on the same page... Has been a long time I face a choice/monthly without any wishlisted titles (okay, my fault here... I cleaned my wishlist a bit lately). I hope I don't forget to make the right call til the bundle ends.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's actually a very good idea. I have only one reminder about humble bundle... It reminds me the monthly/choice/whatever-this-became release. Well, I must confess this reminder isn't very pleasant lately. Anyways, thanks for the tip!

Well, the first Borderlands was fun for maybe 20 hours or so, then it's started dragging. Towards the end, I was kinda cheesing the areas, I was just running past enemies instead of fighting as I wanted to be done with the game asap. All in all, I can't say I liked B1, it was just meh for me.
So in your opinion, B3 is somewhat of a step down from B2 then? If so, how?
Comment has been collapsed.
So I think I will probably reveal the keys this month instead of skipping, but unfortunately for me my laptop only meets the minimum requirements for 3/8 of the games:
I plan on eventually getting a proper PC. I am interested in Borderlands 3, Black Book, and Everhood.
Calico and Paradise Lost also seem interesting.
I have heard about Just Die Already, but don't know enough to know if I'm interested. I will probably watch videos on it to find out.
As for Per Aspera and Before We Leave, strategy/simulation games have never really been my genre.

Still looking good for me... but I'm not sure if is 'cuz the expectatives are lower, or is a really good bundle
Comment has been collapsed.
No
According to what ppl are discussing on its Steam forum anyway.

Five good games for me. No killer AAA but Iโm okay with this month.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not bad, high profile game is decent enough to make it worth it, sadly I already bought (but haven't played) Everhood recently. Before We Leave I had only just added to my wishlist and Per Aspera looks cool.
Any update on if the Australian bundle is locked? And is the SEA one Asia or just SEA? Indonesia if that matters.
Comment has been collapsed.
Indonesia seems to receive region locked keys (I changed from Asia to SEA to be more specific).
Australia should receive region-free keys.
