What are your thoughts about the new changes to Humble Choice?
is BL3 worth keeping if you haven't finished BL1 OR 2 yet? also what happens if you add the DLC to your account do you still need to buy the full season pass which includes it to get the best deal (if so what is the point of giving us this DLC)
also what does the BL3 DLC get you? i looked on the store page and apart from people saying it's either over priced or should have been in the base game i can't tell what it adds (sorry if i'm being an idiot)

I don't think you need to play BL1 or BL2 to enjoy third one. There are some references, nothing crucial.
Director's cut DLC adds one new boss, a bit of mediocre story (murder investigation 4 missions) and cosmetics for your character. I think the steam rating is well deserved. It won't ruin your game experience, but it does not justify the price. I would not recommend it on its own. In a bundle like this I don't mind.

Too bad, If only they put at least BL3 super deluxe edition (or better ultimate) I would definitely continue, since I don't have any other games on the list. Putting only one of the worst DLC (according to review) is stupid.

Ultimate Edition is a bit of a stretch, its still 40€ on discount. But honestly, if they instead of 9 games gave us say, 6 but Borderlands 3 had Season Pass 1, I wouldn't be mad.

Yeah I know, just daydreaming, I would say 8 games like now but with either season pass 1 or 2 would be much better.
Just giving one piece of DLC will overlap with season pass bundle on Steam (if I want to upgrade later), that's why I hate it.

You couldnt upgrade later anyway, since Borderlands 3 Ultimate edition bundle requires you to have the deluxe edition, but the deluxe edition on Steam isn't a bundle but a package, meaning you would buy the base game again. I predict that Death Stranding is gonna be in the next monthly, since it will have an upgrade path for the Directors Cut for owners of the OG version, and that could lead to more sales, since maybe some people don't want to pay 40€ but will pay 10€ for the upgrade.

ah thanks for the info, I thought it was bundle not package... meaning the only option is buying season pass separately if I get this month humble. I just hope they will still put headliner of AAA game for the next months (Death Stranding like you predict for example)

I will probably wait until BL3 gets bundled with all of the DLC for a normal price. I absolutely abhor publishers who do this 10 edition bullshit.
Apart from BL the bundle doesn`t really speak to me even with 4$ skipping discount.. looks like a skip..

Interestingly:
- if you skip the bundle, you have 10% cashback to your Humble wallet (or towards a charity). cf. screenshot below
- if you decide not to skip the bundle, and stay subscribed, you have a store discount, from 10% to 20% as described in FAQ.
- I have not tried to cancel, so I cannot say what happens then.

Just for comparision...so for my personal point of view the humble choice quality of games at 8$ instead (with the -4$ discount) get totally destroyed by that i can get at less on epic..
and for my personal opinion also the xbox game pass it's more worth it too...
This said i get the humble choice only because it's useful to me for some trades and\or giveaways,at this moment i write,i give on sg more than i get in value,but sadly i'm DOWN in quantity of give (i give around 50 and win around 130 more than double) so i want to go try to give same quantity of games i win and go pair in numbers by this...etc. because i not know why but i not feel good about this but i want do it by give "decent" games (like that in the humble choice) and not by giveaway free\crap bundles etc.

haven't been using vpn and I'm only user in my network but I cancelled yesterday yearly classic which just ended as they get on my nerves cancelling my bonuses for pausing, forcing me to install app to use trove etc. so maybe something with this (I cancelled charging in PP settings too btw)

"Threatened" to skip a month, got a $4 off coupon for this month. Works everytime within the first week after reveal. Dunno why they show only in $ as regional pricing is a thing, but I'll assume based on the current currency exchange rate that it'll be about €3 off.
That makes it €7 for BL3 and some other games that interest me in this one, seems like a good deal to me

yes, it used to be excatly 88 days to be precise.
not sure if this even applies today, because you no longer can activate via VPN. Steam determines your account region based on the steam store region. e.g. I have a Canadian Steam account and couldn't activate the HB Mafia EU key, not even with a EU IP address. I live in Europe, I didn't have to use any VPN and it would not let me activate the key.

The region lock is given by the store region defined for the account that purchases the bundle. It doesn't matter whether it's a gift link or a key.

Depending on your region their prices are usually higher than other stores like wingamestore, gamesplanet etc. - even at maximum extra discount. Besides they have the same restrictions for store purchases as for bundles, meaning "gifting = trading = forbidden". That's why I prefer shopping at other stores anyway.

i'm i the only person who never liked borderlands 2 - tried it back on the ps3 (got it free i think - would never buy this type of game) and many say this is worse - heard it has 105gb download which is more than i have left on my whole computer

Borderlands 1 was boring, Borderlands 2 was spectacular, TFTB was great, BL:TPS was decent, and BL3 was trash, trying too hard to capitalize on previous successes and monetize lightning in a bottle.
I suffered through BL3 once and I never want to play it again, much less the DLC.
The Handsome Collection was the best 3$ I ever spent.

So, Borderlands 3 is still full CV but every other game in the bundle is reduced CV.
This doesn't make any sense.
If all bundled games are supposed be reduced CV, Borderlands 3 should be reduced CV.
If the criteria is 95% off, then none of the games in this bundle should be reduced CV because of 95% off. This bundle is $11.99 for $201.91, so it's 94% off.

Nowadays a lot of people get the bundle for $8 (or even $6) so in that regard, this is the value that should be considered as the actual price of the bundle, making the games have partial CV if the MSRP is above $160 (as opposed to $240). In past times, I know that the lowest price one can pay was considered when deciding to switch the CV to partial or not.
On the other hand, if we disregard the 95% rule, there were still decisions made in the past that were based on the price of the games on the grey market. So in that case, Borderlands 3 still has some value, but the others not so much (which means that they could be used for CV farming).
Ultimately it depends only the personal judgement of the moderator tasked to mark the games with partial CV. There's no strict rule as far as I know (although the 95% one is followed in most of the cases) thus inconsistencies can happen.
