hello! i'd like to join if that's possible. my favorite win is my first win "stalker clear sky" because i was a huge fan of stalker series that time, but unfortunatlely my pc couldn't handle the game so it was unplayable... but now there's stalker 2 coming out so maybe i will give it another try.
thanks!

Hello guys, I'm a big fan of playing games. Particularly games won in giveaways. So I'd like to apply for the group.
I just finished Not Tonight, my first and only win so far. I understand if that number is too low for a fair judgement, I'm just picky when it comes to entering as well. Honestly when it comes to my entire Steam account, I like it neat and tidy and completed/perfected.
But back to the game! Not Tonight is like Papers Please in many ways. Main difference is that it's twice as long. Is there a reason for that? Not really. It does drag it out so much, you do your border job for like 100 days in this game. It's much more lighthearted though and just absurd with an alternative Brexit discriminating against all Europeans. A big plus point though is that you're moreso a bouncer than border control and you get to listen to music in the background. The atmosphere is pretty good for a simple pixelart game. It doesn't come close to Papers Please though.
Also Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to anyone reading this in the near future.

Hey !
I discovered this website 2 weeks ago when I was invited to a private giveaway and I've been loving it ! My favorite win was Civilization 6, which I had been wanting to try for a bit of time (I'm now playing Unciv on phone).
Recently, I've been interested in games completions (joined some related discords), and you can see on my profile I've spent quite some time on "Holocure" going after achievements. It's a free, easy to handle game which was a fun starting point ^^
Since I lastly got a new computer, I really want to exhaustively explore other genres (completing games to see how I like them - I'm especially curious about strategy and building/management games) to reevaluate my tastes, and I'd love not to go through the exploration alone !
For these reasons, I'd like to join your group.
Hoping to be accepted, and sending my best wishes,
FlyDwen

Hi there! I'd like to join this great group. I think my stats are fine enough, but I'm still improving them! Unfortunately, I can't play some of my wins since my potato PC is not powerful enough to run them (see Returnal, Fallout 76, etc.). I've already read the rules and the FAQ. I'm also part of Playing Appreciated and TalePlay, so I'm already familiar with those rules.
My favorite SG win has been both Skyrim (how lucky, eh? :D ), and Crusader Kings 3. They are both great games that guarantee a lot of hours of fun.
If you have further questions, please let me know ;)
P.S. I don't have a BLAEO account.

Hi. I would like to join the group if you'll have me. I have read all the rules, guidelines and FAQs and agree to abide by them. Here's my BLAEO profile.
I very much agree with the group's principle that games are meant to be played. Unfortunately, I amassed a huge backlog in 2022 because I had just discovered sites like SteamGifts and Barter and the penny hadn't dropped yet in my mind about how absurd it is to "hoard" so many games for some utopian future where I'll magically be able to play all of them. I wish I could turn back the clock and own fewer games, but all I can do now is to rectify past mistakes by playing more games than I acquire, with priority given to my wins from SG.
As far as stats go, I'm currently at 55% of played wins with at least 25% of achievements completed based on Kelnage’s script. This BLAEO list of my SteamGifts wins paints a more accurate picture; according to it, I've beaten/completed 114 of my 230 wins and I've played but not finished 13 more, although I only consider 6 or 7 of those genuinely played. So, you could say that I've played 120 out of 230 (52%). It's not the best percentage, but it's a constant work in progress. One of my other important goals for this year is to play some of my longer or higher profile wins.
It's difficult to name a single favorite win. If I had to choose, it would be a toss up between Bloodstain: Ritual of the Night and Tales from the Borderlands.
Bloodstained captured everything I enjoy about metroidvanias: smooth, responsive combat, fun exploration and challenging boss fights. I spent over 50 hours in-game and didn't want it to end.
Tales from the Borderland caught me by surprise because I went in with minimal expectations and little knowledge of Borderlands lore. The story, characters, humor, voice acting, cinematics were all top notch. Just a fun experience throughout.
If you have any questions for me, I'm happy to chat :)

Hi I'd like to join. Been a few months since I'm waiting for requesting to join since I didn't have much time to play my wins until now. My favorite win is Evan's Remains because first I'm a huge puzzle fan and sec the story and score were amazing and I really enjoyed the design and pixel graphics of it. It's one of the best indie games I've ever played.

Looks good, however let's return to the application when there will be evidently much bigger part of the wins beaten, especially since you are winning and playing a lot. And I don't want to encourage just beating small wins. You have quite alluring big titles there too, yet waiting to be discovered!

Hello, I would like to apply for a group. That is like my fifth attempt? I rarely beat wins, but I play them. As I already talked few times about my favourite win, I would like to talk about my least favourite. Actually, more like most hated. Its Psychonauts. Its an evil hiding in game, lurking for his next victim. Absolutely impossible and unplayable. I got myself somewhere in middle of game, haven't faced yet single bossfight that wasn't completely broken. People were calling that game as absolutely awesome masterpiece that everyone should play... I think they were saying that just to scam me! Steam site banged on me to scam me persuading that game has 96% rating, that is only way it is possible.

Hi, i want to apply to join the group.
Here is my BLAEO profile: https://www.backlog-assassins.net/users/maddnesscats
My favorite win on steamgifts is Mobius Front '83 because I enjoy turn based tactical games and puzzle games. The solitare mini-game was also enjoyable to play.

Hey, just saw the group and would love to join. A little problem though, I used to be active here 6-8 years ago when I was a teenager and would do anything for free games lol I gathered a bunch of... "non-fun" games? that are barely even playable at all to say it nicely (some of which got taken out of the steam store because of how bad they were XD) and a lot of them don't have achievements either. I only have a 22.8% average achievement rate on won games and only really played about 10 of 30 games BUT I am going to try and play those games more from now on and now I am only entering GA that I plan on playing too.
So long story short, I dont fulfill the requirements because of me being a stupid teenager 6-8 years ago and was wondering if you can make a little exception for me until I raise my play/achievement rate. If not thats totally fine too of course. I understand and will apply again once I actually meet the criteria.
My 2 favorite wins are by far betrayer and frozen synapse prime. Betrayer was such a unique fun experience and 100% worth buying. Very interesting to play and the gameplay itself was good too. Frozen synapse prime was super cool too with it's turn based real time strategy gameplay similar to door kickers. I played those games so much and finished them multiple times. Really glad I got them!

Hi! It is acknowledged that some wins can be broken, not playable, having horrible mechanics, not awarding much achievements upon completion etc. - a lot of reasons, and some games we just turn out to dislike a lot. So this is why our requirement is to have only evidently more than a half of wins beaten when joining (and not more), and committing to play possibly all of the future wins. (Plus, there can still be gems among the old ones, worth of beating!).
Getting first wins when not having a deeply thought policy and regard for the meaning of these for ourselves is a situation most of SG users share. Dealing with this is the best way to illustrate the new intent towards the wins, correlating to the group values. Also, take your time with the wins, no need to hurry. We will be waiting for you.

Hello, I would be happy, to join the group. For now I don't have any favourite Steam gift's win. I had tried to play my1st win game, but It was not much fun.Thank You.

I would like to apply. I'm sitting on 3 wins at the moment and considering that I usually enter the games I'm interested in I'm pretty content with this amount. I've enjoyed all of the wins, but Dave the Diver definitely stood out the most. The pixel art graphics were nice and the gameplay with the addition of various minigames was fun. The game was grindy at times, but if you take your time and chill you can easily overlook that.

Playing Matters Recruitment Topic v3
Playing Matters is a group that values playing wins from SteamGifts. We hope to create a respectable and dependable platform to unite friendly and passionate gamers.
Our group is not so much about making giveaways, but about enjoying what we already have and sharing fun with like-minded people. We aim to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere in our group.
We fully encourage fun little chats to take place in our group giveaways. Additionally we have our own Discord server for our members to make new friends and enjoy each other’s company while also enjoying our wins.
Before applying to join our group, please make sure that:
How to apply:
If you meet the requirements mentioned above and want to join, reply to this topic stating that you are applying to the group and tell us a bit about your favourite SG win. It doesn’t have to be much - maybe a sentence or two.
Creating a BLAEO account is not required but we’d still like you to post the link to your profile if you have it, whether you use it actively or not.
We will have a look at your profile(s) and contact you in due time.
We hope to see you among us. Have fun winning games and playing them!
Please don’t send friend requests to mods or admins.
If you don't receive a direct reply within 7 days, your application is likely under consideration. Also, if your application is rejected please don’t allow this to break your spirit. Instead use it as a motivation to discover and enjoy new games among your SG wins. Who knows, maybe your next favourite game is right around the corner.
