Anyone else scared off the blacklist thing?

I didn't say anything. Only made a thread about me winning a few games and wanting to give back. I gave away 7 games. In those last 4 days, for some reason I earned a blacklist. I don't know why, no one could know. That's why I decided to not really care too much.
Most people who blacklist for no reason don't give anything away anyway, so you're not losing out.

Its sad noticing suddenly a red dot appearing on the stats, and what worried me is because I got my first blacklist because I said I had none. Got blacklisted for not having blacklists, wow. But that just means you shouldn't worry about BLs rising, because if you're doing something is good, then naturally WLs will rise too.

But since it happens, you shouldn't be held back. If I don't post too much its because I don't think my opinion is really necessary, not my business, or I'm shy to do so. Well, my first thread will be coming later or tomorrow, I'm prepared for anything~

Well i am starting to post more on GA's i say screw it if people want to blacklist me for being me then good for them if they do not like me why should they deal with me.

I say what i think and yeah it not always sugar coated but you get the truth out of me if i dislike something i will let people know even if it may offend someone.I am not talking about name calling,being racist and so on.I am just saying i will share what i think and not worry about blacklist it to much work to try not be me to just avoid that.

Yeah, as the other people said: don't worry about it. Sure, the feeling that someone dislikes you is unpleasant at first, but you just need to learn to ignore it. When i got BL'ed for the first time i was crushed, thinking about what i did wrong and so on, but you need to understand that this is the internet and even in a great community like Steamgifts there are bound to be people who dislike/blacklist you for the silliest reasons.

I've seen your topics and you are a nice person, so you definitely shouldn't worry about being blacklisted too much. :)

The crowd is large enough that there's guaranteed to be people in it who dislike me enough to stick me on their blacklist, and besides that people here can blacklist for whatever reason they want, no matter how arbitrary or nonsensical.
I'm not going to let that stop me from being a blunt jerk with strong tendencies to shitpost. Seems to be working well enough, as I somehow got on 10 times moe whitelists than blacklists...

A good way to stop oneself from caring about getting onto blacklists is to get on a few hundred blacklists.

No need to be scared. :) People could blacklist you for every little thing, pay it no heed.

There's too many people on here for it to matter. So what if you're blacklisted by 100 people? There's thousands and thousands of people on here, who cares?

yeah, a bit - that's why i simply don't blacklist people - to reduce the number of people who blacklist others... by one xD

I don't really mind being blacklisted - usually it doesn't even turns out that I'm blacklisted because most of the games are public, and just simply hidden from me. Though that would bother me if someone I consider a friend would blacklist me, simply because what the reason could be? - I must have wronged him/her somehow.

I really don't like getting blacklisted, but everyone gets them anyway. I'm not blacklisting anyone, not even if they did it (in a few cases I even WL them if I find out who did it for maybe they will remove me then), even though there was one person that I wanted to, but I don't think I'll ever do it. Also, try to think that while you get on some blacklists over time, many people will also whitelist you. I did (before this topic actually), too ;)

Actions, not words, are what is important in life and that also applies here as much as anywhere else. People who will blacklist you for simply what you say are just not worth worrying about.

I think I'm on 26 blacklists maybe more. I really don't care. I really don't enter that much to begin with though there are days when a bunch of people post some cool shit all on the same day and I give away all my points. D

There are currently 240 people on my blacklist, I went on a huge blacklist spree a few days ago because my links got leaked. Ironically by people who might have passed the entrance anyway, However as some people can attest it's really not that difficult to get off my blacklist so long as you're not well a dick about it. Then there are permanent residents on my Blacklist because well it's not because of the opinions they have. I really don't care what you think about certain political topics it's how you say them. If you can't express them in a way that isn't completely disrespectful and rude then I really don't want anything to do with you. And with my luck you'll win my GA and I'm not sure if I want to bite a bullet of a suspension for that reason just yet.

If they scare you in fear of being blacklisted, they've won, so why gove them that satisfaction and hold back. So what if someone doesn't like what i say? I certainly don't about that, if someone thinks he should blacklist me because of what i'm saying, then he should do it.

It doesn't really stop me saying what I normally would. I seem to be on 11 blacklists though I don't know the why on any of them. I've only ever encountered one giveaway I couldn't enter due to a blacklisting and that wasn't even one I was going to enter. :D

I guess at least some of them are ratio-based but while I'm below 1:2 at the moment I doubt I'm considered a severe transgressor. Others could be revenge-blacklisting since I've got a couple of dozen on my own blacklist.

In short, blacklist me for any reason you like, or no reason at all. Unless we get to a few thousand people doing it I won't even notice the difference.

I say what I have to say and if someone blacklists me for it, then that's their problem and I couldn't care less. If I find out I'm in someones blacklist I'm still be somewhat curious about it.

I honestly think that restricting yourself from properly expressing yourself just because you're afraid of getting on some random person's bad side (a person, who you'll most propably never see in your entire life might I add), can be much more harmful for your well-being than saying what you think and later seeing another red dot on the stats page.

Everyone has the right to bl anyone for anything and it's become something so natural, that I don't see a single reason to be afraid of it.
