people have the right to believe what they want. people have a right to disagree with that opinion. people should keep disagreements civil and courteous but people are sometimes arseholes and people are sometimes misunderstood and seem like arseholes when they're not. and sometimes people wonder why people are so insecure about their own beliefs as to attack each others instead of just shrugging it off

The guy is clearly a troll, it's shitty to insult someone's religion but responding just adds fuel to the fire. he didn't need to comment anything, but you should have chosen not to respond, or say something like "these are my beliefs and if you disagree with them that's ok, but please do not insult my beliefs," and leave it at that. getting butthurt and refusing to let the argument end is annoying for both parties. and making a thread for people to pick sides is entirely unnecessary for such a menial argument.
